Ran from Lewes to Black Cap earlier. I was about an hour too late as frozen paths had already thawed back to mud but well worth the effort, glorious up there. Also signed up for the Worthing half as missed out on Brighton. Seems really flat so going for a good time. And a good time

11 wet miles. Held off as long as I could but little improvement weather wise. I manned up after reading others exploits on here. Beer and beer will be the remains of Sunday

Your pretty much where I was this time last year. I'd never run a marathon before but like you had entered a few half marathons and a number of 10k's. Also like you I ran for REMF and was pleased I'd made that commitment as it helped to keep me going when things got tough. The more sponsors you...

Managed 4 miles today. First run in a week after lingering head cold. April only 11 weeks away, time to start the marathon training

I'm on day six of annual man flu. Its not anything like what you have as managed to keep working but full of snot and zero energy levels have stopped all running. I don't think 2 or 3 weeks out will do you any great harm. Real flu can take weeks to fully recover from so the key will be to take...

20:10 park run today. Nice way to start the new year and a decent marker for me try and improve on. Better than expected turn out all things considered. I finished 8th and 2nd in age group. I didn't add my goals to this thread earlier but just hoping to improve my pb's with main focus going sub...

Fantastic, what a great way to finish the year. I like the idea of a New Year's Day parkrun. Whether it seems like a good idea in the morning remains to be seen

    A QPR Fan's perspective........(contains swearing - lots of it)

If he'd finished his spliff before he started it may not have seemed so bad. Love this guy....rock making? I don't get yer

So 2016 finishes as it began. Zsa zsa Gabor exits the stage and Simgull joins the walking wounded. Pleased it's not too serious. Ran a loop around the Amex today with the intention off creating a new segment on Strava but discovered one already exists although a bit sketchy. It seems to start...

That's me done. I can't make the next 2 so you keep the record. My max age grading was 72% so you won fair and square. If you allowed for the 5 second delay you smashed it which is why I'm choosing to ignore it. Why have you kept the secret of speed from me for so long? Virgin wine order now...

20:19 park run today. Had to drag myself down there on a red wine head and only started at the back as I wasn't expecting much but 100m in and felt really strong so pushed on from there. Number 10 for me. 200 Greg Bobkin fantastic

Was that you? I was aware of you tanking up behind me but determined to hold the place. I've only seen you from a distance but funny as I'd said to Simgull I hadn't seen anyone and yet you were breathing down my neck. I'll look after the crown as I'm sure you'll get it back next year

Thanks, I'm actually running quicker than I ever have before but since you've got over your hamstring niggles you seem to have gone onto another level. It's great to see. Seems like we're both finishing the year strongly.

I wish I could amble along at you pleasure pace. Great running. Again. Ran the Mince pie 10 today. Perfect conditions nice and crisp only a bit windy up on the downs. Great course except going through Saltdean with its double header steep hills. Lovely to be up on the downs though, really clear...

That's a great effort. That's a tough course for a first timer in a very respectable time. Your a marathon runner now, it's a great feeling.

My 6 weeks out over the year mean I'm a month behind you. December was looking worrying as I still had over 100 miles to cover but I've managed to put in a few good runs and by Sunday night I'll have got it down to 75. Well done for getting it done before silly season kicks in. Well done...
