I don't think I'll be troubling the record books now. I was all keyed up for brooks as my final attempt to break sub 43 this year. Apart from mince pie in a fortnight I have nothing planned till 2017. You beat me in 3 of the 4 distances so there's plenty for me to target as goals next year...
Gusts of 50mph increasing around big nuts shorts, average wind speed 35mph. Can't see any records being broken tomorrow.
Good luck to all running Brooks in the morning
Good time especially after the 3 miles.
Rain now forecast to be clear by 8am with only light showers to follow. Still very windy though. Need to use fellow runners as a shield. Someone on here taught me that.
Pretty grim at Eastbourne, about 100 down on usual numbers. Came in 21:02 which in the conditions wasn't bad.
Well done all those who braved it today.
I'm running brooks. See ya there
Paul (Jesus), the man from Coral's is away until the 25th. Alternatively Tom at the Physio rooms in Falmer should be able to help. Might be an idea to get his take on whether Saturday's run is a good move. He can normally fit people in fairly quickly
I hope I'm able to recall a time I went sub 40 in years to come. I'd happily take that as an lifetime pb. That's the stuff of dreams right now. Congratulations on the time....sorry I'm a bit late
Yes Brooks, thats the one. No more 10ks for me after that till well into 2017.
Like I said cctv along route looking out for middle aged men shuffling around the promenade looking suspicious
Relax, today was my best effort this year but I need to take advantage of you being sidelined and me having symmetrical feet. 3 seconds you say, hmmm think I might manage that if the weather is kind at Bright 10. Your only going to come back faster after your lay off so don't expect any...
Ran the Beckley 10k this morning. It's a nice informal figure of 8 around the village with a couple of climbs at 3 and 7k but then a nice gentle downhill ti the finish. All finishers get a free beer with a choice of 3 this year when only bud was on offer last time round. I went round in 43:02, 5...
Far too any post Norwich beers to entertain a long run today. I did manage a laboured 4 miles trying to erase the memory of being passed by a father pushing his 2 year old in a push chair at Eastbourne park run yesterday. I passed him before the finish but the damage was done
Also feel Duff needs a mention on this thread, had an amazing game. Stonewall in defence and getting confident enough venture forward more often. Last year we had the best midfield, this year the best defensive. A great platform for the rest of the team.
The Norwich attack got Dufferised
That's a fantastic effort and time on a notoriously tough course. You've got to be in a good place for your duel in San Sebastián now. Got to the Amex in time too, happy days.
In the unlikely event your soffits do contain asbestos it would be the cement based type which is virtually harmless unless you crushed it up and rubbed your nose in it. You could break a piece off and take it in a sealed bag to Amstech in Newhaven where for under £100( from memory) they would...
Looks really sore, hope that clears up before your trek.
Good job your not going to Canada they've been hunting something with a big foot in the mountains for years. Although I can't see anyone hanging that over the fireplace
