I see that this could be an argument against banning circumcision outright, but why is it an argument in favour of circumcision before the child (baby) is old enough to decide for themselves? Genuine question.

I completely agree with them. At the end of the day, it is elective cosmetic surgery that is being performed without the consent of the patient. This wouldn't be allowed with any other permanent body modification, so why allow this one?
