Could not disagree more. We have been crying out for creativity in the centre for years. We finally sign someone who is creative and a natural central midfielder so to stick him on the wing (or worse on the bench!) is in my eyes criminal.

I think Savage has done ok. He breaks up play and plays simple balls keeping posession. If he had a creative midfielder in the centre with him he could feed them - unfortunately for some bizarre reason Thornton was on the bench and he only had Thomson to feed.

Thought he looked a threat upfront today in the second half. Finishing let him down though. Didn't think he did much first half on the wing although to be fair he wasn't given the ball much.
