I love it - mainly when they get it wrong, e.g. when they give us a full-on goal roar when its hit the side netting. Also love the booing when there's a bit of argie bargie.
I diverge a bit, but one unintended result of not flagging marginal offsides and leaving it to VAR... There were several examples this weekend in ours and other games, where the move ended in a corner for the attacking side. There's no VAR review because there is no goal, but the attacking...
Despite the three goals I thought our defending was superb. One mistake, one lucky deflection and one worldy. On another day, none of those would have resulted in goals.
Jonathan Pierce drives me mad. He doesn't seem to understand the rules of the game half the time.
He can't seem to get that a player is not offside until he has actively made a play for the ball - and moans at the linesman for not raising a flag before they are actually offside.
I wonder if there is actually some science behind it. In the same way that a lion struggles to pick out an individual zebra in a herd, the same could be true of a defender picking out an individual from a gaggle of strikers in the box.
No? Just a thought.
I had a mate that was forever saying "I think I'm a pretty good judge of character..."
Turns out he had been trusting a serial killer taxi driver with his kids for the last few years. Thank god nothing happened. He stopped saying that after the arrest.
I had no idea you could do this. I didnt even know I had Clubcard vouchers until I looked - just blindly use the card whenever I happen to be in a Tescos. This combined with the £20/month offer has meant that I now have 5 months Sky sports for free! So thanks for that.
I'm prepared to be educated on this, but I'm not sure I get the same sex couple thing. The thing is about dancing not about sexuality, and each sex has different roles in a dance pair, regardless of whether they are gay or straight. Not against it in any way, but struggling to understand why...
Yes - similar experience to mine. Only use a solicitor for the things you need to. The actual probate application is very straightforward and there's no need to pay a solicitor 800 quid for basically just filling in a simple form.
My money is on BW ultimately signing for Leeds. TB, being the master poker player, has figured out the maximum price he reckons he can extract from Leeds. The company line is 'not for sale' which will remain until Leeds come back with what he considers will be their highest offer, at which...
Yes - monstrous hill to go up if you park down there. You used to be able to drive up Plumpton Bostal and leave your car up at the top (I'm talking 30 years ago) - no idea if you still can or not.
How about leaving the car at Ditchling Beacon and then cycle along the southdowns way for about a mile, then take a right turn to drop down to the University and the Amex. Bridleway all the way.
I can't see Murray going into a coaching role. He's very much a media tart. He'll want to play as long as he can I'm sure, but then its straight into the commentary box as a pundit.
