    [Travel] That proper holiday ?

Sounds great. Out of interest, how much does it cost to freight a bike to NZ? Is it better than hiring one over there (no idea if that's even an option)?

[Music] Dave Greenfield (The Stranglers) RIP

Gutted to hear this - what a band, what a keyboard player. I went to school with one of his extended family. RIP.

[Finance] The end of Notes and Coins?

How long do you think the taxi driver would stay in business in a cashless world if he only took cash?

[Finance] The end of Notes and Coins?

If its clear at the outset that the taxi only takes cash, you wouldnt get in it if you didnt have any. If the taxi usually takes cards, but his machine isnt working at the end, the resolution would not be “sorry mate, you’ll have to walk”.

[Finance] The end of Notes and Coins?

You can't pay in this situation - as previously said, it is up to the taxi driver to resolve the situation, if cashless payment was presented as an option when you got in the cab. I had an actual situation like this in a pub/restaurant. Their card network was down - there were only a handful...

[Politics] Why do we persevere with standing urination?

Well the obvious answer is that if the person before you has pissed on the seat, do you really want to sit in it?

    [Brighton] RIP Michael Robinson

As well as being a nice guy by all accounts, he was real quality too. One of the best strikers we've ever had, if not the best. RIP

    [Misc] Cancelled Flights/Holiday Refunds

I may be unique in getting a full refund from Ryanair. It was however in the early days when they had just cancelled flights to Italy.

[Music] Songs about girls (or boys) with ridiculaous names

So I think the worlds most ridiculous girls name in a song is..... Rama Lama Ding Dong. You can just imagine Mr and Mrs Dong pondering over the name of their child. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6JbemSdORo

[Music] Songs about girls (or boys) with ridiculaous names

As a starter I give you Sussudio by Phil Collins. However, I think there is a clear winner in this category. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0qBaBb1Y-U

[Brighton] A thread full of Brighton goals - with video clips

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq3NHUcIIqQ Love this one. Oddly enough the company I work for have a sponsorship deal with Swindon Town and as part of that we get to have a game on the pitch every year. Last year I was in the exact same position as Rohan and a perfect cross came over. I saw...

    [Misc] Probability problem

Having dredged the mathematical archives I'm no longer certain if its relevant that Monty knew where the prize is. Assume he did. My head hurts. Edit again - It definitely IS relevant that Monty knows the location. Apologies for earlier incorrect statement.

    [Misc] Probability problem

In actual fact it doesn't matter whether Monty knows or not. We are where we are, with one door having been revealed not to have the prize. Monty may have opened the door with the prize and the game would have been over, but he didn't, and here we are with two closed doors, one of which hides...

Yes he does know where the prize is.

    [Misc] Probability problem

Following on from the success of the bodmas thread. Here's a probability problem for the maths geniuses. The solution is on the face of it, surprising, and when it first came out, baffled many a statistical brain even though its very simple. It's quite famous so if you know it, please don't...
