I think our Scandinavian friend has a valid point. Massive false ones just look ridiculous and are about as attractive as the air bags on my car.
Edit - general comment - no reference to the lady posted on this thread.
I wish they wouldn't keep saying that Grealish is the most fouled player in the premier league. He wins more free kicks than any other player - theres a big difference.
Well form comes into it too, and in his last his last 2 games (for free kicks closer than about 25 yards) - vs Villa 2 free kicks 2 goals. vs Man U, 1 free kick 1 goal. He doesnt seem to do any of those things you mention at the moment.
Someone mentioned on another thread but thought it could do with one of its own.
Just how the hell do you defend against those kicks? Easy answer is to not give away free kicks in the first place, but its unavoidable sometimes. I think some sort of radical tactic is required. Not sure what...
WD40 will help if the problem is wet leads (squirt it liberally over the leads at the front of the engine). Sounds like the battery may be getting a bit weak though - get a new one and avoid a world of pain.
Well he used to take them all a couple of seasons ago and then when got replaced when he missed a spate of missing them. Maybe his time has come again.
It was saved by his hand as it turned out, as this very fuzzy image shows:
.
Not sure how to interpret that in terms of the rules though - he was clearly trying to save it with his feet.
We are shockingly bad at attacking set pieces. We had 3 corners today, took them all long, and didn't once manage to get it over the first defenders head. I just don't get it. Seriously, I as an overweight 50 something with arthritis can do better than that. I can kick a football from a...
I would change the rule so if a player takes actions to exaggerate the contact, it is a free kick to the other team, regardless of whether its a foul or not.
In praise of Maty - he is excellent with the ball at his feet. Doesn't get enough credit for it. He often gets put on the spot with a backpass and strikers closing in, and nearly always deals with it with it brilliantly. Decision makng - when to kick long also excellent.
I thought he was awful, but in the end his errors more or less cancelled each other out. The Kane penalty wasn't a penalty it was manufactured by Kane and should have been a free kick to us. On the other hand, I can't see how anyone could possibly look at that tackle by Solly and not see a...
The ref had a terrible game - Kane completely bought that penalty and no idea how our goal sto od even though he watched Solly's clear foul on the monitor.???
When my brother was small he got a tennis set for his birthday consisting of two flexible plastic racquets and a small fluffy ball. The plastic bats became the weapon of choice.
Best present he ever had... not.
