    Malcolm Tucker as Doctor Who?

And Karen Gillan played a soothsayer in that same episode, yet went on to be a companion for years. It all seems to revolve around Pompeii......

Leeds United vs Brighton and Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

...because once we'd conceded an equaliser, we settled for the draw. We drew EIGHTEEN games - I'd have happily sacrificed the never-lost-when-scoring-first record if we also occasionally went up the other end and scored a winner...

Leeds United vs Brighton and Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Last season we DREW (edit, damn!) far, far too many games. Clearly Oscar isn't going to let that happen this season, and he took the gamble putting 2 wingers on at the end - increasing the chances of a goal being scored at either end. If we'd scored, we'd all be delighted. Keep this up all...

If even this: 359202927526686721 counts as "Breaking News" (because obviously we didn't know that before) then it's going to be a long, long, long day/week/month.

Britain needs millions MORE immigrants says the Office for Budget Responsibility...

How are you defining "useless gits"? Those that don't work hard? All unskilled workers in the UK (there are 7 million of them)? (Edit - I don't think unskilled workers are useless gits btw, before someone quote-mines this. I just think all unskilled wages would drop without a minimum wage, so...

Britain needs millions MORE immigrants says the Office for Budget Responsibility...

Just to make sure I understand your point - if the minimum wage were abolished, wages would go up?

Britain needs millions MORE immigrants says the Office for Budget Responsibility...

Well that's ridiculous. Tell an employer he can employ a Briton for £6.19 per hour, or a non-Briton for £1.50 an hour and which one do you think he is going to hire? I thought the right wanted British jobs for British people; why bring in a policy that encourages directly the opposite?

    Falmer station rail links improvement

I wish they did! I've already been on the train for an hour once I've reached Brighton... but they do now make us all be good boys and girls and join the back of the queue. To be fair, obviously I do completely understand it. What hacks me off is the other way round, when I get back into...

    Our politicians...

...or the will of the army? And then the murder (I can't think of a better word) of those that still support Morsi? If Cameron had refused to implement anything in his manifesto, you'd support the army removing him and shooting those who remain members of the conservative party?

    Our politicians...

Indeed. I heard him on R4 talking about how we need to provide economic support for them now to get them on their feet. What I didn't hear - for some reason - was any comment whatsoever on the deaths of those just taking part in a sit-in...

UK wasnt in a Double Dip Recession End of 2011 early 2012

The ONS report said three key things from what I can see: 1) We did not enter into a double dip recession - this is, as you say, something Gideon can claim as a win 2) The original recession was deeper than first thought - this doesn't say anything about Gideon, happening before he took the job...

Never mind 14/1 - we're currently 18.5 on Betfair. I think there's a little bit of value there and will stick a cheeky tenner on it.

Nope. I didn't claim there has been. I haven't pretended it is. Did you aim these arguments at someone else?

York Mosque shows the way for all of us

Clever. You must be right, because your prediction about my future proves that you are right. Well I certainly can't argue with logic like that. Even if you were right, what difference would that make?? Are you suggesting that the reason that there is no racial tension here is because I find...

York Mosque shows the way for all of us

Are we doing this one again, the old "all the liberals live somewhere cushty so their viewpoints are invalid" argument? I thought we did this about a year ago, maybe longer. Again: I live in South East London, and have done for years. I live in a block of flats on a big estate a mere 10 minute...

York Mosque shows the way for all of us

Correct. Those Islamic extremist murderers are bad men. Those who blame all Muslims and/or Islam in general and burn mosques (either in retaliation or because they've wanted to and now see this as an excuse) are also bad men. Not so tricky.
