Why not get a small wheeled bike something like a Brompton. You can pick a used one on ebay for £400-£500 and there fantastic. Look here The Path Less Pedaled at what you can carry on one and how small they fold!

I cycled yesterday and really enjoyed it. I went Acker79's route keeping away from the busy Lewes rd. I gave myself plenty of time arriving with a good feeling that i've done some good for my heart and the environment. I would say if your thinking about cycling, do it. You'll feel good about it.

This looks good to me its takes me of the main road for a big chunk of my journey. Thanks for that

I did a test run on saturday along the Lewes rd riding my 16" wheeled fold up bike towing a loaded trailer and it was a bit nerve racking with buses and lorrys speeding by. I think i shall find a route though the back streets of Moulscome and then ride up the path that runs up behind the station.

This really is the begining of the end !

Why not get a folding bike they fold so small you can take them on the train.

I will be able to lock it safely inside a building as folded it takes up next to no room.

Is this route all cycle lane or do you ride on the road? I ask because i want to ride using a small wheeled folding bike towing a trailer and am a bit worried riding on main roads !
