    Sick pay

Surely, if you don't get sick you get NO sick pay/leave.

Gareth Bale "could be banned" by FIFA

As I recall, he was training WITH the GB squad when getting injured. If Pearce was "misinformed" about his injury BY the GB squad physios etc., NOT Spurs, unless anyone has any evidence to the contrary? Bale has also expressed a desire (see bbc link in page 1 of this thread) to play (Wales...

:D Hoof it up to the big guy seems the be the England way.

Gareth Bale "could be banned" by FIFA

Have you not read the thread, he can't play for GB because he was not selected. He was not selected as he was injured at the time of selection (AIUI whilst with the GB squad, not Spurs "telling" them he is injured - so different to the examples you are thinking of). I can only assume GB had...

Gareth Bale "could be banned" by FIFA

As I understand it, Bale WAS injured at the time of selection so wasn't chosen. He has subsequently recovered from injury (which most players do!). What was supposed to do, NOT recover until after the Olympics? As he has been injured, he won't have trained with the GB squad so even if they did...

Portsmouth are likely to have "no alternative" but to close on 10 August

I'm not sure what the problem is. The club got mismanaged and they fooked up and now should pay the price. The fans need not worry as a "new" club will be formed (they do have their large catchment area so it will happen) and will have to work their way up the league (like Rangers up in...

Park & Ride: Mithras Vs Race Hill

The problem with Mithras and the Racecourse is that people coming from the A27 or A23 effectively have to go THROUGH part of Brighton to get to them (causing more congestion). Mill Road is good as it's on the outskirts. Hickstead would be good and would relieve the pressure point at Mill Rd...

Amex Community Stadium to be completed this season... earlier than expected

Have they started the SE extension and 1901 extensions yet? I wonder when N corners will be started, I'm guessing just after xmas as soon as the SE corner is complete?

    Cardiff match day tickets (merged)

Booked my tickets (at 17:05 :D) for the Barnsley game in S1H, right near the back. I see the availability is as follows: Most of S1H Lower half of S1G Small random bits&bobs of E1F (as with last season) Some parts of W1A Some parts of W1H (as with last season) Most of W1I (as with last season)...

    CMS to Leeds?

True, however it can also be argued that he doesn't play to our strengths either. Personally I don't care about his record and what he has done (or not) in the past, I care about what he can do in the future. The only person to really gauge that is the manager. If he thinks he can/will perform...

Grrrr ..... iTunes and iPhone !!!!!

Not quote true anymore what with iCloud etc. You can buy a song in iTunes via your iPhone and never have it on your PC. Anyway, I think you mis-read the OP, he wants to delete it from the PC BUT NOT from the iPhone.

Grrrr ..... iTunes and iPhone !!!!!

Who the fook has LESS space on their PC than on their iPhone?! :D Anyway, you could use iTunes Match, then DL (without syncing to PC) whatever of your collection you want. You can also delete your PC version (but can re-download it again later).

A Thread For The Early 30's Brit Pop Folk

Andy Bell is indeed in Oasis (as bassist, not guitarist as he was in Ride). He also, in-between, had a band called Hurricane #1 (who I saw live once :D), main song was Step Into My World.

A Thread For The Early 30's Brit Pop Folk

I like Chapterhouse but, imo, not a patch on the bands I mentioned. Ride were the kings of the "loud" shoegazing (Nowhere was their masterpiece) and Slowdive the kings of the "slow" shoegazing. Most of Slowdive are still going but as Mojave 3 and solo (all rather different styles now and not...

A Thread For The Early 30's Brit Pop Folk

All this is the music soundtrack to my uni years :D As well as the above, I was more into the Shoegazing (which Britpop was, in many ways, born out of) stuff - Ride, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Blind Mr. Jones etc. as well as the stalwarts of The Cure, REM, U2 etc.

Omg....I think we're gonna win the league after all !!!!

Hard to not get excited really (and I'm the sort that doesn't like to get carried away LOL :D) Our defence + keeper are looking VERY strong now imo. All defensive positions sorted with decent enough backups too. Essentially, if we get a new striker and Centre Mid, we're sorted I think but even...

The great Vicente saga - 2012 edition [All quite exciting in the end]

But you don't know if not turning up for training has been agreed with the club. If it has, it's NOT a case of "just not turning up". Anyway, see my earlier post.....
