    Greer Stays as Captain

I too am a bit bemused as to the constant attacks on Greer. Last season he wasn't at his consistent best, but that was largely down to Hyppia's tactical naivety in pushing the full backs so far forward and starting with a lightweight midfield two. Every game this would leave Greer completely...

Eliott Bennett - Returns for a Month

Signing Bennett and Marshall would literally change our season in an instant.

    Brighton sign Harper

Good signing but for me still need 2 wingers and a CB to compete. If we had those players then signed this guy then fantastic but the reality is we still haven't laid money down for some proven players who can assist the strikers. Sign two wingers, then look towards a CB and ST and then we are...

    [Football] Buckley & Bridcutt

I'd quite like us to have some attacking midfield players who don't spend half the season out with hamstring injuries. Buckley, evidentially, does not fit that criteria. Would be really chuffed to see us sign Marshall from Blackburn as I believe his ability in assisting goals to be better. Ask...

[Albion] "Albion rebuilding may spill over into season"

I understand that recruitment may spill over but seriously, how long have the club been aware we lack attacking players? It was abundantly clear the first game of last season when we had Fenelon/O'Grady upfront and Crofts in a CAM position. I think fans have every right to feel disheartened if...

    Leon Britton

Don't need him. We are 4 players away from challenging. CB/Winger/AM/Striker.

    Sunday trading hours.

Precisely. I have been working recently shadowing a regional manager for a multi-million pound company and I can share a degree of empathy with any staff who may have to compensate for the increased hours on a Sunday. Its all very well and good keeping the shops open, but please be aware that...

    Gary Hooper

It was for Scunthorpe. Think they beat us 4-1 or something like that. Colin Hawkins was playing at centre back.

Liam Rosenior signs on a 3-year deal

Some ludicrous comments on the Argus website denouncing the signing. Absolutely no question this is a top signing, hopefully to play at right back. If we can complete a deal for Ward at left back then all of a sudden we have a vastly improved defence, great news considering we were 6th best...

The Worst Match You've Seen This Season

The only reason Cardiff away isnt winning this by a country miles is because it was a Tuesday night and most fans were smart enough not to attend. It can be best compared to that football match in the Simpsons where the ball never moves out of the centre circle. So utterly poo watching 90 +...

Chris Wood set to join Championship club on loan...

We won't be signing him because sadly we invested the wages in Leon Best.

Where are we; where are we heading?

I am more than happy watching us play our football in this league. There doesnt seem to be one quite like it where teams for example will go and beat a team at the top (Ipswich) and then go and lose to one at the very bottom (Blackpol). Having seen us in this division for 4 seasons now, you kind...

Baldock - worst signing since when?

Totally unfair target for abuse. Yet again we have succeeded in signing a goal poacher and chucked them wide as a defensive wing player. All of his goals at any point in his career have been playing off someone else. I think the main issue here is signing him in the first place. Why do it when...

    Elliot Bennett tweet

I would imagine there is a high likelihood Bennett will return in this transfer window.

    Murray article in Argus today

Right, thanks for that. At the time of this happening, it was his girlfriend. It was also a recurrence of his hernia that prevented him from tracking back. It was under Adams, we lost 0-2 at home.

    Murray article in Argus today

If I had £1 for every single time someone on NSC posted factually incorrect information with regards to Glenn Murray I would be a very rich man. Versus Leeds in 2008, yes 7 years ago, he had a hernia, hence why he couldn't chase back. He should not have been played by dinosaur Adams. He handed...

It's going to be Hughton isn't it...

I really do not believe Hughton is nailed on here. If anything, he is considerably more likely to take the West Brom job than Pulis, given the set up they have there. Even if Pardew goes to Palace, I would again have serious reservations Pulis would then move to Newcastle to work for a certain...

    Booing Glenn Murray

Can't even be bothered to explain yet again that Murray was offered a derisory contract and the only reason he joined Palace was yes money, but mainly the close proximity to his Brighton home. The bloke is so bloody nice, he has run free training sessions at the football academy that his stepson...

'Albion will target Chris Hughton to be their new manager if they cannot land Tony Pulis'

Not at all, I am just merely speculating as to who has been mentioned in numerous newspapers and I am happy with all of them.

'Albion will target Chris Hughton to be their new manager if they cannot land Tony Pulis'

Are you not happy with them? I would say this is the best list of candidates we have had for a good while. With Knight it was all smoke and mirrors, I do beleive we have a real chance of landing managers who know how to get to the Premier League for the first time.
