Christ sake he has barely kicked a ball for us. Could his ommission be for the simple reason that he did not have a pre-season with the squad? Why would Hughton rush him in with Lua Lua/Murphy/Rosenior performing so well.
Let's see what happens today. I'd expect him to make some sort of...
Yeah and you wouldn't know it with some of the negative crap posted on the match thread. Fantastic run, clear at the top. Brilliant! Let's see if we can make it 10 games unbeaten.
I feel very proud of our club at how we have come together in this time of absolute tragedy. I really do not know how I will be able to hold it together tomorrow, whether it is on the walk or at the tributes at the game. It is all so very close to home. Truly terrific response from the club and...
Greer isn't good enough in the air anymore. His composure and leadership skills however are a terrific asset. We are looking very strong. If we sign just two more players in Tex/ Vydra we are able to compete. Add Marshall to that and wow.
The scene is probably still quite a mess. Perhaps they also feel the memorial garden is more significant. Would be great if we could get as many members of NSC to go up to the stadium and lay flowers there.
Absolutely this. I cannot possibly relay via an internet forum what nice lads these two were. I didn't personally know them that well, but I know they loved their football, they were excellent players, and what makes this so sad is they set out to simply enjoy the game they loved on a saturday...
Just found this out, absolutely shocking. I know Jacob fairly well, some of my mates know him even better. He has some very close friends who post on this forum. Can only offer them my sincerest condolences. Completely numb about hearing this so cannot come to terms with what they and his family...
True, forgot he was at right back. Kept mistaking him for Conway, who I thought started the game really well then faded. If we had just a couple more options off the bench we would be a really strong side. Marshall and a striker plus Tex on loan and we mean serious business.
Can't see this happening. Derby seem to be just throwing money about in anxiety. Even if a 2nd bid comes in, and we reject it, I don't see them coming back after that. They will just move onto another. We know they have money to, so coupled with their desperation, we can easily hold out for upto...
Fulham can jog on with their 5 million bid. If we sell, he is going for more than that. Virgil Van Dijik (spelling?) at Celtic seems to be going for around £12 million to Southampton from the SPL, a league of comparative class, with the Championship probably being the better league. Therefore I...
Feeling pretty relaxed about this. I would say there is as much chance of Dunk signing improved terms as there is him moving to Fulham. Newcastle come in and its a different matter. Either way, we keep a fantastic player or, we lose one for 6/7 million, putting us in an incredible position to...
Look at it this way... when does this club spend £1.8 million on a centre back (or whatever it was) who wont be a starter? There is no way also we would spend that money to replace a player who is captain and plastered on the front of our stadium. I would think Dunk is off. If the swap/cash deal...
Tex would be an interesting one. Not an out and out winger, but playing off the striker away from home and we are incredibly solid. Just think we need more of a Bennett/Buckley. March and Lua Lua will be injured, no question. Need players to replace them who can cross. Not sure Tex fits the bill.
Just remembered Hughton took him on loan at Norwich as well as managing him at Newcastle. Would be surprised if he hasn't been touted by the manager. Wages might be an issue.
Ludicrous to denounce a player who had played 150+ games in the prem. Cash plus a player of that calibre would be a great deal for the club and still leave us with one of the best defences in the league. Shame to lose a young player but this would be a good deal all round.
Literally couldn't give a toss what fans of palace or any other team thinks of this signing and I certainly won't be reading a single comment of this thread. Had a Leeds fan going on about how we have signed a 'crocked journeyman', arguably more than half of that being totally incorrect anyway...
Why does it seem beyond the realms of possibility to some on here that Zamora just might have been doing his own fitness work? I for one highly doubt he's been residing in Uncle Sam's for the last few months shovelling burgers down his gullet. He's going to have been actively seeking employment...
All you can say is thank you to the club for that. Truly inspiring signing and it was needed, badly. That will really lift everyone as a whole. I don't even care if he scores you know, although I'm not doubting that he will. Just to see him run onto the pitch, at our new ground, over 10 years...
I think this one is going to happen. They are under an embargo and the player is supposedly keen. Plus Rhodes and Gestede seem to be on the move meaning they will probably slip down the table next season.
