According to Twitterati we have made another "move" for Marshall, maybe we added 10p to our offer?

' .... from sources close to the club that Brighton & Hove Albion have lodged a fresh bid for Blackburn Rovers winger Ben Marshall.

Brighton are refusing to give up the chase, though, and have tested the resolve of their Championship rivals with a fresh approach.'

No other clubs seem interested. Seems like me buying things by auction on ebay. Second choice purchase, affordable but I don't want to pay over the odds. First choice would be affordable but not value for money in the medium term. I want to keep a bit of dosh in reserve.

Blackburn are for me almost certs for relegation I cant see him wanting to stay at a sinking ship

That's what I was thinking, especially with Mason (better player) going back to Cardiff as well. But I said that about Burnley in the season they went up.

If Blackburn sell Rhodes and keep Gestede they will still be force to be reckoned with.
Gastede fee agreed with villa for 6m according to ssn

Sounds like the Venkys want their money out of Blackburn.

Is it a fire sale ? ???

The Blackburn fans are very despondent at the moment. What with the embargo ongoing, their two top strikers wanting to go, already seen another striker (Josh King) decide to leave and us hovering around like a vulture ready to pick up Marshall at some point then they have every right to be depressed! The signings that they can bring in are a couple of lower league French players, and looks like signing Delfouneso after he left Blackpool.

They were also denied a work permit for Ky sung? Left Wigan end of last season, used to play for Cardiff in the Prem, as South Korea are not in the top 50, and haven't played more than 75% of their matches, and not worth more than £10m, it got rejected.

Plus they hate the Venkys!

So yeah, if you think our board is full of anxiety etc you should read their transfertalk threads, hilarious!

I do think they are going to go down, they just can't get any quality in, not even decent loan players

Looks like 'Arry's up there: "With no Gestede or Rhodes, and no decent midfielders, all we need is a couple of injuries and we are on the bare bones. "

It sees Ben Marshall has got a good reputation in his play, except he has not got blistering pace. He has never stood out so I would notice him.

Good because blistering pace always means endless hamstring injuries, I would much rather he was like Conway, decent yard of pace, good delivery, a few goals and generally fit to play !

Not sure you've just described Conway other than one or two games, but yes agree with you. Explosive, sustained pace can equal muscle tears, see Buckley.
