Not obsessed and I agree he is clever. He needs to deliver more at the sharp end though where we are lacking. Hopefully he will. Let's see him star against Chelsea !!
Much too early to say. Of course some have got a head start with a points advantage and others are favourites. Favourites do not always win though and with 3 points for a win there is much to play for.
Just say it comes to the last game of the season and Newcastle are safe. What chance of 3...
Doing OK, but no more than that given his salary and signing on fee. He needs to contribute more goal wise (either scoring or by assist). Hopefully there is far more to come. 1 goal and one assist with shooting and crossing accuracy both of 17 per cent are not that impressive stats
I can only foresee us signing anybody if we sell. Otherwise we will continue with what we have.
I do not see Welbeck going to anybody 'better' than us. It is more a question of whether we want him to stay and meet his wage 'demands'.
Yes the point is that there are weaknesses at PL level with all our talent with the exception of Sanchez and there will be silly money if he does continue on as he has done.
We are good enough for sure. We need them to have a bit of an off day though. Perhaps a match in which we do suffer from Webster and March being injured. We may well find out a bit more about Sanchez.
Maupay's was my favourite because it is most important to us that he gains some confidence. There is no natural replacement for him. Trossard's was the most important in that it set us up in the game.
Easy to say after the event. The Newcastle keeper might have done a bit better given another go at them.
There is no need to compare Ryan and Sanchez. Sanchez is currently performing better than Ryan did but that does not erase what Ryan did for 3 seasons. If Sanchez is as good as he might...
I think we would be seen as a club that rather lost the plot. All the foundations in place, decent money spent but not the strikers or choice of strikers to score the goals that win football matches. It was inevitable that Murray would lose his PL edge and what have we done about it ? Not...
Proper is the forgotten man, he is experienced, has done well in the past, but is a bit of a liability for the misplaced pass. On balance though is a reasonable midfield option in place of Gross.
Perhaps it is written in the stars.
We go down and Hughton brings Notts Forest to the Amex early doors. Knocky scores, Forest defend for their lives with Duffy excelling. Forest leave with a 1 0 victory. A dream of course but TB's nightmare.
Bruce is a good experienced manager. Newcastle will get enough decent results to stay up. Newcastle and their fans have a sense of entitlement and are never satisfied.
