Yes he has. I find him to be erratic but a player who can make things happen, hence his goals and assists. We have too few players like him so he needs to be nurtured and supported.
Well if you remove the captaincy from somebody you stand to lose him and that is what has happened. They felt his loyalty to the county would be greater than the 'slight' to him. It wasn't and they/we are paying the price.
The truth is that we do not have a County Championship standard 4 day team. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous. The members who paid full whack should be refunded as they were mis sold. Those running Sussex cricket should hang their heads in shame. They are an absolute disgrace.
They...
He's scored three this season and maybe will get another. Next year hopefully something similar. Helpful of course and he fits in well with the squad and team play. Scores classy goals but not enough of them. Hopefully his wage is not top dollar. I see we are rumoured to be interested in...
Very much so. In fact what is needed is some decent support for Maupay, to partner him or replace him when out of form. Looking at the stats he is 18th on the list of Premiership strikers this season which is none too bad. I believe he has a year on his contract to run in the summer and more...
Yes, I was there on the East Terrace.
I would suggest that were a bit more direct in those days. Well football was. Doubt if the standing hordes would tolerate what we see today, well what we see most of the time. With pay on the gate there is perhaps a bit more motivation towards...
If you concede as many goals as we are now doing you are not going to get many decent results. We have to go back to basics and tighten up at the back.
If we get out of this rut, yes he will be. If we don't and stay up by the skin of our teeth I rather think he will not be. Season ticket renewals will also have some influence.
Whilst we are very very likely to stay up it will perhaps be more of an issue whether GP remains for a crack at next season. I feel that this is what the remaining games are all about.
Well hopefully when they come to the Amex this season they are loudly booed or given some gesture to show our disgust. Treat them like they act I say. Get in them hard and early. Oh for Paul Clark !! Game has moved on though hasn't it.
With our other players doing well and coming in demand by others, they are going to be seeking higher wages in contract renewals. Thus we need to cash in on some players, when convenient to us, to fund the costs involved in trying to keep 'our' Biss. Trossard, Maupay, Lamptey etc
Yes, very much so. BDB is a very wholehearted player, doing very well at the moment in a team/squad that is playing well. He has his limitations. It is clear that GP feels he is great given the way he has come out to support him in the past. Every player has his price and if BDB wants to go...
Very much agreed. Matty goes back to our very first season in the EPL. Nobody starting yesterday was playing for us then. There have been 'upgrades' everywhere as players have been replaced by those with better PL quality.
We can talk about performance and quality of players but the truth is that we do not win games of football. It is nearly three months now since we last won. I am not optimistic of that changing until Welbeck is back and playing regularly.
Regrettably I therefore voted no.
