[Albion] Starting eleven plus subs for the Tottenham game

mmmm what about Lawrenson or Stevens ?

    [Albion] Time to back Aaron.....

Indeed. Goals are difficult to come by in the PL for the majority. He is turning out to be a bit of a bargain buy, worth far more than we paid for him.

[Albion] The Official 21/22 Injury Crisis Thread

Well at least it might mean we need to attack, it being the best form of defence and all that !! Duffy is though only out for one game. The issue with playing Spurs is that that their strength is their front two being Kane and Song. GP has a week to work out an effective plan. Would accept...

    [Albion] 25 years ago today

That was my daughter's first season. She has changed a bit too, now 33 and still watching. Her favourite player one Peter Smith, I think because he was a stood out and was a little different.

    [Albion] Defending Corners

Sometimes one has to accept that it is the quality of the delivery more than the defensive shape. The pundits of course can micro analyse what are split second actions, to sound knowledgeable and make the players significantly at fault. Of course the keeper 'could do better' but one can say...

[Albion] The first crack in Graham Potter's calm demeanour?

There was a little booing but considering there were some 30k in the stadium it was from a massive minority. GP mentions it and it becomes a bigger issue than it truly was. Then the media pick up on it and it is amplified even more and off the scale. There should be more things to worry about...

[Albion] Jose Izquierdo - released by the Albion

He can hardly shoot when he is on the bench can he !!!!!!

[Albion] Jose Izquierdo - released by the Albion

Yes begs the question of just why isn't he playing?!!

[Albion] Player ratings Brighton - Newcastle

Quite so. That is why when teams lose too often it is usual for them to move on.

    [Albion] Potters first XI

It is all very hypothetical because they are rarely, if ever, all going to be fit at the same time and then there is the nature of the opposition and form to take account of. A worthy chat subject. On what I have seen this season Duffy should play, he has probably done more and made less...

    [Albion] Man City goals

Yes he definitely has an aura and confidence about him and he did help keep the score down. So on to Liverpool next week when he can expect to be kept busy.

    [Albion] Man City goals

Thanks yes. I was being harsh and probably expecting too much after last season. On top of your stats we have been conceding very few goals. Perhaps a better view will be after we have played more of the 'top teams'.

    [Albion] Man City goals

Last season Sanchez was too good to be true, magnificent. So far this season he has not been as good as we would want him to be. He will either improve or we will give another keeper a chance. It is the way of football. At least though we are not going to have other clubs clamouring for him...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Arsenal *** Official Match Thread ***

This is exactly it. There were a few scrambles in the area and half chances but Arsenal defended well.

[Albion] ** Brentford v BHA ** - Premier League Score Predictor - Now in its 11th SEASON !!

Away games are now far different with home crowds. Hope we can scrape a 1 all draw which is what I have gone for. Would not be surprised to see our technical style of football steamrollered by some Brentford passion.

    [Football] Relegation Odds 21/22 Season

Agree totally regarding Newcastle. For me they put in enough good performances to stay clear of relegation. As for Palace, I think they will miss old Roy and the stability he brought and his nous. It was time for him to go but I do not feel he has been well replaced.

    [Misc] Foldable electric wheelchair/scooter

My daughter aged 36 uses a mobility scooter (zippy) virtually every day due to her disability. It might be worth your while to have a word with Clearwell Mobility Limited who have shops and showrooms in the local area about the advantages and disadvantages of each. For instance only those of a...

    [Cricket] Ted Dexter RIP

I was there for the Gloucester game which went into the third day due to the weather. Mike Buss got the man of the match. 60 overs a side then !!

    [Albion] What was Attendance

Yes I was wondering that. Maybe our location and dependence on public transport to get to the ground has an effect with covid. Not easy to drive privately and park.

[Albion] Florin Andone joins Cadiz on one season loan

I reckon GP would sooner play Trossard up front than Andone and then there is Gross, the jack of all trades !!!
