If there was any reasonable chance that he was Premier League standard, a PL club would have come in for him as we were letting him go for peanuts. None did which confirms that he is now in his proper place. He worked in the PL for two good coaches so there should be no excuses for him.
Gone for 2 2 but I am useless at this. Think the crowd being there will give real atmosphere and that both teams will be going for it. I also expect big Bob Sanchez to have a difficult start to the season after being superb for most of last.
This is very much how I see it. To my mind he is not sufficiently commanding at a centre back in a back four. In fact he may even get decent game time as a right back. I believe the club are right to take advantage of what I see as 'media hype' to get a fee of around £50million.
Not sure this is necessarily a betting thing. Brighton supporters do not want their manager to move on and at the moment the rumours have him a rather hot favourite for Spurs with the bookies. I would personally prefer him to be an outsider at 50 to 1 and breathe rather more easily if he was...
He did well for us last year. I doubt that we are offering him top dollar and my guess would be a two year contract. I imagine he is considering his options.
Pretty even game. Scotland were well up for it but I wonder whether they have burnt themselves out and that will be it for them. England reminded me a bit of us at times. Seemingly slow unambitious passing of the ball getting us nowhere. All to play for still. Pickford did well tonight.
There is a lot to fall into place for us to get anywhere near top 10. I am not expecting it. I would like us to avoid relegation a little earlier than the season just gone and have some more success against the clubs at the bottom end. That would make for a good season.
He timed it right, just like his strikes in the penalty area.
He and Knocky were major players in getting us up and he was the major player in keeping us up for two seasons.
Well deserved retirement.
My parents amused my brother and I with putting and pitch and putt. I took up the game with some seriousness 15 years go and really liked Hassocks which had a mix of challenging and comfortable holes. Heart issues mean I need to use a buggy now to get around but play in a pub society which is...
If we were to beat Man City I reckon there could be greater interest than there is now. Perhaps that game is now of much greater importance that the league table indicates !
