I know not many agree with me, but I’m actually pretty happy with the business done in this window.
Although we’ve only spent around £6m on players so far, we have increased the quality of our squad. Lallana & Veltman add much needed experience at bargain prices. Players like Zeqiri & van Hecke...
I really don’t understand the hate on Ryan. He is isin’t the best keeper, but he is reliable, and doesn’t make many mistakes. He is good with his feet too.
Matt Clarke to Derby County (Championship)
Shane Duffy to Celtic (Scottish Premier League)
Jurgen Locadia to FC Cincinnati (MLS)
Ryan Longman to AFC Wimbledon (League One)
Jan Mlakar to NK Maribor (Slovenian Prva Liga)
Glenn Murray to Watford (Championship)
Warren O'Hora to MK Dons (League One)...
Good idea in theory, but it’s harder than you think. As a ref, there is so much to focus on. It is hard to start and stop the watch so often. And what if you forget?
I wonder if we could appeal this? What if there was a situation when the ref blew for full time, but then an hour later when watching the game back you saw a clear hand ball right at the end? They wouldn’t continue the game? (It was a clear pen tho)
Yes, I do think our chances of PL survival will increase if we played the u23s. For example, during the Xmas break, GP rotated his squad (namely against Tottenham). An extra 5 games might cause GP to play a rotated team. Also, it could be argued that our downturn in form under CH was because of...
In my opinion, staying up is the priority. If we are far off the drop zone, we should go for the cups. Staying in the premier league is much more important than these cups. The prize money for staying up is around 1,000 times more than the prize money for winning this cup (excluding Europa league)
£20m for Davy Pröpper is insane... Ajax’s record arrival is around £13m. Davy turns 29 in a couple of days... he is worth £10m at most IMO.
Anyways, I think that we should hold onto our prized assets at least for the season. I don’t think that we should be a selling club, but I don’t think...
Yves Bissouma has been great post lockdown, and yes, if he keeps improving how he has been since then he will be a great player. HOWEVER, I hope we don’t get ahead of ourselves. Bissouma has only played consistently for the last third of the season. Also, I’m not sure how much improving Bissouma...
It will be interesting to see who takes our next penalty... Maupay’s record is actually really good. He’s scored 8 and missed one in all competitive games during his career.
