[Politics] Labour Anti Semitism - Against the faith or the Israeli State?

Are you implying that Jewish people should owe some automatic allegience or sympathy for the Israeli state?

I completely agree with her. Can you explain why you find her remarks disgusting?

    [Politics] The General Election Thread

Corbyn`s weakness is that he has beeb far too apologetic in the past. He had no reason to apologise to any jewish people - im glad he didnt for once - except to those Jewish anti zionists, such as Jackie Walker and Tony Greenstein who were thrown out by the kangaroo courts of the blairite...

    [Politics] The General Election Thread

Every country can1t print money - e.g the eurozone ones, for example and they can go bust. Yes, it seems you can spend as much as you like given the restraints on inflation which I have already alluded to. In that sense, there is a magic money tree. I know this requires something of a...

    [Politics] The General Election Thread

A government such as the UK with its own currency doesnt have to borrow or fund from taxation. It cannot go broke. It is not like a household. Its more like the banker in a monopoly game. The government would need to create the money via its central bank, and push it into the economy provided...

[Politics] Labour Anti Semitism - Against the faith or the Israeli State?

No it isnt. As even the somewhat dubious IRHA definition of antisemitism points out:- " criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic."

[News] Panorama tonight will be interesting !

Maybe it would, I dont mind paying more tax for good public services such as those available in Scandanavian countries for example.

Maybe "top business people" wont like the idea of paying more tax?

[News] Jezza Corbyn and his health ?

Chris Williams like Corbyn is a commited anti racist.. He said nothing anti semitic. The right wing of the party have it in for him as he was going around country trying to get existing right wing MPs deselected. As Alexei Sayle says "Anti-racists being accused by racists of being racist...no...

[News] Jezza Corbyn and his health ?

I dont care whether or not its impressive or not, cut and pasted or not - its just to counter the rubbish that Corbyn is in any way anti semitic

[News] Jezza Corbyn and his health ?

I`ll gladly reference them - the ones on EDMs etc can be found in Hansard. To save me time though, which are the ones that you dont believe and Ill check them out? And yes i have read the list in various forms many times. As a later poster suggested it willl also be interested in seeing any...

[News] Jezza Corbyn and his health ?

Yes I mean look at all these Jew Hating things Corbyn has done:_ 1. In October 1936, Jeremy Corbyn’s mother participated in the battle of Cable Street indefence of British Jews after British fascists had staged an assault on the area. Corbyn was raised in a household passionately opposed to...

[Politics] Our next Prime minister.........Labour scenario

[Albion] Am I the only one...

Slighlty off topic perhaps, and I know mentioned many times - but some of the football under Gus was stunning . I will never forget the demolition of Peterborough away - the most comprehensively brilliant Albion performance I have ever seen - even better than some of the high scores under...

[Politics] Corbyn backing the other side..........again

So let me get this straight its not the left winginess of Corbyn you object to but his failure to condemn any vaguely left wing country which doesnt adhere strictly to your ethical standards. Would you equally condemn politicians on the right who do not condemn the appauling civil rights abuses...

[Politics] Corbyn backing the other side..........again

Indeed - I have been following Venezuela quite closely on alternatative media and the picture painted is very different from that you would see from the almost universely right wing press in the America and the UK. The USA want to bring down the Madura government which was democratically...

    [News] Alastair Campbell expelled.

I`d already left for the Greens by then. After being a labour party member and trade union activist in the late seventies and in the early eighties I gave up on Labour with the lurch rightwards under Kinnock. Yes they won elections but to continue Tory policies. Pointless! Always thought...

yes by largely adopying tory policies - so what was the point?

    [News] Alastair Campbell expelled.

Here Here. My only quibble would your definition of centre left. Since Thatcher the Overton window has shifted so far to the right that what was previosly regarded as soft left - the sort of policies advocated by Corbyn et al - are now regarded in some quarters as "hard left".
