I didn't see this thread, but I'll post here as I did in the VAR thread:
Just watching Ibrahimovic score a brace on his debut for LA Galaxy, as they come back from 3-0 down to win 4-3. The first goal - from 40 yards - was amazing. However, his second was clearly offside. Nothing subjective...
Just watching Ibrahimovic score a brace on his debut for LA Galaxy, as they come back from 3-0 down to win 4-3. The first goal - from 40 yards - was amazing. However, his second was clearly offside. Nothing subjective about it. But VAR didn't get involved at all.

Locadia didn't look too bad going forward, but defensively he didn't put in close to the shift he should have done. It was the same against United, where there was not enough tracking back generally, not enough tracking of runners, and not enough pressing. I thought he might have improved that...
If this is the tweet, I don't see anything about him mentioning us being 'relegation certainties'. Saying 'Don't think I've seen a more incompetent Premier League team' is hyperbolic, and not the best journalism, but we were extremely incompetent that day. We offered absolutely nothing at all -...
It's the view of one Leicester fan - so I wouldn't say all Foxes are that confident. In fact, after having a quick look the thread on their site, many are not.
I don't think it was a penalty - but you do quite often see penalties given in similar situations. It's Mane's exaggerated dive which cost him. He got booked for that.
Palace going mad because of Mane diving trying to win a pen . In the end they get him booked. Although there was contact, it was a clear dive. If he was a bit more subtle about it, he might have got the penalty. Palace need to give him lessons.
Still makes me laugh that they sacked Paul Clement a few years ago when 5th in the league, saying promotion was not "the primary target". "The priorities were building on the Derby way". Certainly seems they've achieved that since he left. Bottled promotion at every opportunity.
He was performing well and in good form before his suspension. Unfortunately he couldn't regain the same form when he came back, and Murray's form kept him out. Then we signed new strikers. Certainly the correct decision to keep him in the summer. Would have been stupid to sell considering our...
I didn't miss your point. I understand what you were saying. Since you said it was 50:50 at best whether it was a pen, I added my viewpoint. That's all. I think I made the same point as you're making now during a recent VAR Spurs match when there were calls which were not clear and obvious.
I just want to comment on the misrepresentation of the quote by the BBC (not sure where you got it from but I saw similar on the BBC website). When asked whether it was a penalty, Tarkowski laughed and said "it never is", implying when the decisions go against you, they are always wrong. He...
Oh. Then I'm just going to correct that I didn't mean to suggest he did it intentionally to produce contact! Just that his foot went out into Tarkowski's stride, however that occurred.
I didn't see that. If that's what the pen was given for and it was correct, no problem. But the VAR feed seemed to be focusing on the foot, slowing it down at the point of contact. If the pen was for Tarkowski's contact, then I don't think it's a pen, even if Young forced the Italian's foot into...
