He had a bad first touch (it was late in the game so he must have been tired), which took him too close to the keeper, and then he had little time to adjust, and his finishing options were limited.
I don't think it's got much to do with 'bottle', 'technique', 'confidence', 'having time to...
What bugs me is their method of updating news stories by adding new information to articles over time. Means I have to read through stuff I've already read to see what the latest updates are. I'm sure there's a better way.
Yes I've noticed this, and I've mentioned it on the past here as well. I regularly see clear errors on their website.
I try to watch/read a variety of different news sources. The UK version of Russia Today isn't actually as bad as many would probably expect, covering some interesting topics...
Quite a few times we managed to cut them open and get ourselves in a position where the ball just needed to be tapped into the net, which were weren't quite able to do. That is dangerous, attacking play (but doesn't show up as shots on stats). Being forced to have a punt from 25 yards because we...
The game I remember is us being unlucky not to take a point given the threatening positions we found ourselves in throughout the match.

In the FA Cup, I remember United being extremely comfortable. We had some shots, but we didn't really get into the...
Just had a look at Derby in 07/08, who finished the season on 11 points :lolol:
They managed to gain 3 points away from home all season, scoring 8 goals in the process and conceding 46.
I do hope we can better their tally!
I never said I don't think we can't improve on this season. In fact, I think there's lots of room for improvements which we are capable of making. For a (big) start, we need to concede less from set pieces, and score more from them. But I think we've got the basis for a pretty good team, and...
Thanks for stating that. I can see the table :lolol:
We will finish with a better GD than Huddersfield and Stoke regardless, obviously. If WBA were to overtake us (obviously never going to happen), their GD would likely be better than ours by that point.
That leaves three teams below us with...
In case you hadn't realised, this is a thread discussing us AWAY from home.
We all know we've generally been pretty good at home this season. But, as alluded to in the initial post, if we don't improve away from home next season (if we stay up), we'll again be heavily reliant on producing...
Well obviously.
Anyway, our goal difference isn't much different to most of the teams around us, with tough games to come. For most of the teams below us, if they caught us up they could easily overtake our GD, especially given if it was tied we'd likely lose out on goals scored.
They have more points away from home this season than we do.
If you gain just one extra point by being a bit more adventurous, then the whole GD argument becomes redundant.
No need to be an arse about it. It's a perfectly valid point to make. There have been plenty of discussions about how we haven't been adventurous enough on the road. Huddersfield have 11 and Newcastle 17. We are bottom of the table when it comes to goals scored away from home. The only other...
