Why not? The quality of our players is the fundamental reason we're at this level and generating 150 million pounds or whatever in income. Paying our best player 5 million a year, or 3% of that, doesn't seem that much considering they're much of the reason the money is being made in the first place.
I've seen the big 6 do it - it happens with that style of play. I like that we do it, I know others would rather we play a Burnley or Palace style but that's not for me
Why? Because this is how we want to play and we need to work at it. I don't understand the idea of completely changing our style because it's Man U - they won't change their style. Are we more likely to beat Man U playing a style we are familiar with and practice, or playing a new style for a...
To be honest I'll say we didn't play well - and mean that in a positive way. Blind pass for the first goal. Backed off for the second. Free header from a set piece for the third. All things we only did once, just little drops in concentration, but once was enough. Dunk missed a sitter as well...
It's always been the way and it's understandable the press will focus on the 'higher - ratings' team.
What is frustrating is that it just entrenches the status quo. People, particularly overseas, are more likely to support a team which gets all the media coverage, thus continuing the club's...
Having seen both Arsenal and Chelsea score 9, I thought I'd we could keep City to 3 or 4 would be a sign that we were a decent side in this league. A 0-0 away to that City lineup is an amazing result.
Never :(
Almost went to Chester, and was a couple of hours late getting to Brighton for the 6-2 over Torquay at the start of the 2000-01 promotion season. But I did get to bump into one of our new signings in the pub garden near Withdean after that game.
Conversation went something like 'what...
And its all really absolutely no different to what we want to do at the Albion.
Leeds, '5 year target to be just behind the big 6'. Brighton, 'target to be a top 10 club'
Basically the same thing. Buying overseas clubs, investing in youth, investment by the owner, major new sponsorships, focus...
A few others that I remember well..
Cheltenham away when the burger van caught fire.
Orient away we won 2-1 (Zamora, Brooker) and we marched down the High Street to the station. That was fun.
The 3-3 at Birmingham in 1995 was pulsating and one of the best matches of that era, as was the...
In the village down the road from me an old guy brought his gas bottles inside on a very cold night and warmed them by his fire. Not sure exactly what he was hoping to achieve. Two years later the house is still rubble but I think his three neighbours have finally moved back in to their repaired...
So the Zenit sport s director s said this is rubbishhttps://amp.sport24.ru/news/football/2020-09-04-medvedev-pro-khediru-v-zenite-vpervyye-slyshu-eto-vbrosy-agentov?__twitter_impression=true
Who do we think we'll see at right back first game of the season? At the end of last year we would have all penciled in Lamptey as our starting RB, and I think many still do, but the signing of Veltman throws it all up in the air. He was in the starting XI for the Chelsea friendly and doesn't...
