I accept that but Izzy was from last year, Andone not whilst paying for us, Burn was a shoulder injury from a fall (could happen to anyone). We used to get lots of injuries caused by turned knees, strains, small tears and so on. It was blamed on pitches, medical team, training regime etc. We...
I get the general impression that we've had fewer injuries this season. Does anyone know the numbers, and is that true?
We seem to have done particularly well to avoid those niggly 'out for five games' injuries.
Of course, Izzy wouldn't agree with me - and BDB had the freak injury from a fall.
A test to apply to the Lallana signing. If he was signing for Palace or Villa or Newcastle how would you feel?
I'd think they'd got themselves a bargain who could change games, even coming off the bench 20 times a season. I also know he'd pass anyones "no dickheads" rule, so would have a...
The one we could have won, recently, was Newcastle at home. Two more points and Palace would be looking up at us.... we genuinely had that in our grasp but didn't go for the throat.
Ryan 6 - little to do. Still not convincing on crosses.
Lamptey 8 - a few small mistakes but he corrects so well. My goodness, he'll be very very good
Burn 7 - thought he played well. They had very little down his side
Webster 7 - solid
Dunk 6 - played really well, but dropped a point for giving...
Until he faded in the second half, I thought Mac had a really good game. So much time on the ball, seeing passes, being available, could/should have scored. Must be a joy to play alongside. Get him Poitter fit and with more Prem acclimatisation and we'll have (yet another) superb youngster on...
One of the less obvious reasons to be excited about this appears to be the acceptance in the media that he's joining because he wants to be part of, and contribute towards, the evolution that is happening at Brighton. I wonder if this signing, should it happen, will mark a watershed in the way...
Liverpool-based chum of mine says that the quality ahead of him is the reason he's not getting games. Apparently a great pro who spends a lot of time with the younger players. Generous and respected. Would be a great fit into a Potter squad that will need the occasional older head.
