I think one of the biggest issues here is the opp to harm a relegation rival. We have the ability to take their ever present CB, young player of the season and then force them to find and bed in a suitable replacement, at no cost to us at all. Delicious.
Totally agree about the win/win - this is why Tony spent so much on the development programme.
Here's the rub. Three of their five top players (games played) were loans: Ben White (Brighton), Jack Harrison (Man City) & Hélder Costa (Wolves). They've paid £16m (TalkSport) for Costa & offered...
I innocently tweeted today about the risks of teams that go up and have to replace loan players before they can start to add to their squad strength (eg Huddersfield). I noted that paying 20 or 30m for Ben White would put a dent in their player budget and get them effectively no further forward...
That cuts both ways and clubs (incuding ours) have no hesitation releasing a player if they deem them surplus to requirements. There is no loyalty in football apart from by the fans to the club itself. Sadly, that's the way it is.
And have a look on here for dozens of threads where us fans are...
Maybe 10 years ago (so I was in my mid-40s) was queuing to cross the road outside Lords and stood next to Viv Richards. Took the chance to tell him that I'd loved watching his career and felt privileged to have seen it. He looked at me and just said "grow up". I was with my son. Embarrassed and...
Seems odd that the amounts have been released and the "fact" that he has rejected two contract extension offers from the Albion.
Feels like agent efforts to flag that he's on the market and that he is keen to move away from BHA.
Can't see Bloom etc being very impressed with that.

Of course squads can change, but I can't see Fulham or West Brom having enough. You need to be smart in the Prem and they aren't ready. I'd love to see Villa and Leeds go down, but Villa will spend more and...
Totally agree with Bry Nylon - I stopped Jan 1 2019 and haven't drunk since (used The Alcohol Experiment, much discussed on NSC, to help me stop outright).
I haven't given up alcohol - and when mates say "are you teetotal?" I say "No. But I haven't had a drink today. I could do tomorrow if I...
This guy is a 'look at me' troll. Surely we've been tolerant enough? He was welcomed very warmly but has shown himself to be a pretty dull guest. He's just probing for a reaction again and again (and getting bites).
