If, IF, he sings I wonder what the largest thumbs up there's been, if everyone give BG's first post the thumbs up and retire the thread to gold

Great idea - I’m in! BG used to wind me up a lot but I learnt to ridicule him in the way he liked and I miss him here for sure :)

I believe that Bozza can actually increase thumbs at any given time.

One of the biggest problems any emergent club has, especially in the Prem, is getting genuine top quality, big name players to sign.If the Lallana signing actually happens (i still cant get my head round that-I'm waiting for the picture of him holding the shirt) then I think that one of the main benefits to the club will be just this- it will encourage a much higher standard of player to seriously consider us as a good move. With a player of Lallana's quality on the books, whilst maybe not at his absolute peak, but still more than capable of walking into almost any Premier league side other players will look at us as a more genuine prospective club. Llallana will have the telephone numbers of plenty of real quality players and word of mouth will start to spread in the circle of players who we will need to be playing for us if we are going to be genuine contenders rather than also rans. I'm not saying world class players will be queuing up to play for us, but maybe when Brighton is mentioned more and more players of similar quality or potential wont just say "who? or dismiss us out of hand, but start taking an actual interest.

If this signing happens, his on field performances may not be his biggest contribution to the clubs fortunes

If he can arbitrarily give the Mantis Shrimp a MILLION votes in the biggest WHC scandal in history then I'd suggest he can chuck BG a few posthumous thumbs with impunity.

Also, someone like White, who might be tempted if Leeds are genuinely serious about getting him, is suddenly going to see the club in an entirely new light.

I don’t think we’d be able to get him from Leeds. Would cost us £40mil+ even if he wanted to come!

The change has already started to happen this season. Lots of other fans recognising we’re playing good progressive football, Klopp shouting out to Brighton and Potter especially, ditto Guardiola.

Other fans are now starting to covet our emerging talent (eg, Lamptey, Maupay, Ben White).

The tide is most certainly turning, and a signing like Lallana is the icing on the cake.

We are a club who’s going places and the football world is starting to notice.

I wonder if we’ll inherit the Plucky tag now
