Problem for me is that when he plays he becomes central to everything we do. the position he plays tells you that.

So when he goes off injured, it changes the fulcrum of the team. When fit he's one of our most influential players but in our team, he needs to play more regularly otherwise it disrupts the way the team plays. You can't keep picking him on the off chance he may last the whole game - and going off injured in the first half or at half time happens too regularly.

Its a bit like Vicente. Amazing player but he never really had any huge influence on a season because he was always injured. When he did play you could see other Albion players constantly looking around to see where he was which wasn't the way we could play when wasn't in the team (most of the time).

Not a fan I'm afraid. I'd be happier putting a hungry young guy in there who could last the whole game.

That hungry young guy is looking like our Scots Argie. Even when Lallana is fit Alex is likely to get at least 40 mins a game and with Potter’s penchant for playing young players, Lallana could end up as the last 20 mins sub when fit.

Hahaha brilliant. That pass inside he did calmly towards the end was sublime.
