Far, far too early to say which of the two is better. Ryan has now played four league games (and has looked good in the last two) and Stockdale is hardly setting the world alight at Birmingham
The shot from Barry in the first half, he probably would have got. I am not sure he would have been as quick off his line to block Morrison late on (and I was a fan of Stockdale).
Ryan 8 - Very solid and two very good saves. Good off his line and excellent distribution too
Bruno 7 - Gave the ball away a few times in the first half and tried to be too clever on occasions. Overall solid defensively though
Dunk 9 - Man of the match for me despite Gross' performance. So good...
And the last ten or so games last season. Once Duffy got injured, I don't think Dunk got booked again. He seems to have matured massively in the last six months. What a player he has turned into.
This weekend last year. And the ridiculous criticism he received after two games and how we wasted our money on him. £3.5 million looks an absolute bargain now. Must be worth a minimum of three or four times that now.
Exactly. If we won the league, people would moan on here that we weren't ambitious with our signings now we are in the Champions League. There are some people on here who only seem to want to moan (and never seem to post when everything is positive).
Not really. You are comparing chalk and cheese. I was looking at what they spent in the summer, which is the only fair comparison, you are looking at both transfer windows combined (not a fair comparison).
Thanks. Interesting so a) Bournemouth/Watford are the exception and b) looking at the info I found it looks like these figures are in their first season (not just the summer transfer window) so not a fair comparison
If you say so. That wasn't what the site I looked at said. If there is proof then fair enough.
Also, do you mean all season or the summer? If the former, it is not fair to compare. We can only compare to what Bournemouth and Watford did in the summer transfer window or it is not a like for like...
There is little point in discussing if you are going to make things up. I looked it up. Bournemouth spent about £25 million in their first summer up and Watford about the same as we have according to what I found.
Not made up by me. Regularly quoted in the Argus but you are right nobody does know how much we've spent so how can they compare it to other clubs when complaining?
Anyway, we are getting off topic here. My main point is there is too much negativity on here. You, among others, never have...
Are you talking about this summer? If so, I am pretty sure that is not true. About a week ago there was a stat on here that we are about the sixth highest net spenders in the Premier League this summer.
Err... you do realise those players need to be paid don't you?
I imagine there is still money left over (hence we are trying to sign players) but moaning constantly won't make it any more likely to happen.
Agreed, although I really don't see us not signing at least one striker before deadline. It would leave us far too short up front.
Sadly, what seems to have been lost by some on here is we've already spent about £42 million (and it would have been nearer £50 million if Dwamena had passed his...
Ignoring the fact that you are talking drivel, that wasn't my point. If you actually read what I said, it was to wait until the transfer window closes to moan.
Has anyone actually said prices would go down. The point I have regularly seen made is that more players become available as the end of the window gets nearer due to their clubs signing other players. The idea that the club think prices will go down seems to be something put forward by those...
I doubt most of the Premier League will care.
Serious question, why not wait for two days and see who we sign rather than spending them moaning on here? If we've not signed any strikers by the time the window closes, fair enough moan all you want. But, in the meantime, why not give the club the...
Concerned is one thing. Saying 'It's all spectacularly desperate' is quite another. A lot of teams still have business to do. We are far from alone. Why not wait until 11pm on Thursday to see what we have rather than moaning now?
