I am not saying it would be good enough for the Premier League. However, it was good enough for promotion at the end of the season and that is what mattered.
As you say, we are all entitled to our opinion and the bedwetter/licker thing is pathetic. I don't see myself as particularly rose tinted spectacles, more wait and see. There is no doubt in my mind that we won't start the season with the current squad (and if we do, we will be beaten comfortably...
I think it's the same people moaning about the same thing every summer (and constantly posting in threads with negativity) that gets a bit tiresome. There is a big difference between I really hoped we'd have a couple more signings in by now (which is a fair point and I agree with) to why are...
You certainly spent a lot of time moaning last summer (as you do every summer). I really can't be bothered to search through every post from you last summer but I do remember you being negative, as you usually are.
As compared to saying things like rose tinted glasses. We all have different opinions. I would say you are one of the most negative posters on here (while you claim to be a realist). However, I am sure you claimed last summer that we wouldn't get promoted due to lack of signings and you were...
You know exactly what I mean. Top teams lose to lower teams a lot more than in the Premier League, for example.
Our record against the other five teams in the top six was decent, 19 points from 10 games.
Also, you seem to have two points. Here you mention our successful base being partly built...
What a ridiculous comment. Results are random in the Championship e.g. Blackburn did the double over Newcastle. Does that have any relevance on this season?
I can agree with the basic point that this squad isn't good enough for the Premier League but results last season have no relevance and...
Completely agree. If history tells us anything, we stand a much better chance of signing players if they are off the radar rather than widely reported.
So is it fair to say that, based on this thread, if we don't make four signings in the next 20 minutes we're going down with a record low points total of 0?
It is not in the least odd. He has been playing all summer and needs a proper break.
As for those wondering who will be in goal for the friendly, I assume Walton won't be allowed to leave until Maenpaa has signed his new deal so it will be one of them.
First weekend is not the same. First weekend of Championship is the week before.
No information to base it on but would be surprised if the City game is played on Saturday at 3pm. Hopefully it will be on Saturday or Sunday rather than an evening game
There is going to be a lot of competition in the Championship. A lot of teams spending big money. If Wolves sign him and a couple of other quality players, they should do well. Last year, Helder Costa was brilliant for them but the rest of the squad was very average
This must be one of the most stupid posts I've ever seen on here. Are you genuinely saying if a player is not good enough for Liverpool, he's not good enough for us?
Are you seriously moaning again? You moaned during much of last summer (as did others) and said we had no chance of promotion due to our lack of signings. Why not be positive in June? We have more than two months of the transfer window left. I don't get the negativity of you and some others on...
In June? Seriously? I know you are a WUM but at least attempt to make sense.
And, if you read my post, it clearly states that Huddersfield are weaker (not stronger) currently than last season.
And the reason for focusing on Huddersfield in my post was that the thread is about them.
