Except you would say that as Huddersfield have signed him. I stand by my comment that if we had signed him, you would have moaned (largely based on what you post on here)
Exactly. I agree re Mounie and nobody else. The irony is if we'd signed all or most of those players, certain people on here would have moaned about no Premier League experience and that we were over paying for them
Exactly. I think most people would have liked maybe one or two more signings at this point but it's not the disaster some people are saying and it's the same people who moaned about transfers both the last summers when, as you say, we did pretty well in the end.
I find it quite funny that you can call someone else blinkered. I can barely remember a positive comment from you. You are always moaning whatever the club are doing.
This thread was literally just started so one fan could moan about our lack of signings (as if there weren't any other opportunities to do so already).
As for Huddersfield fans, I don't care whether there is a 30 page thread, why does it matter to them what we think? I don't care what...
In fairness, it was less a criticism, more a question. I really don't care what Huddersfield think of our signings so I'm struggling to understand why he'd want to post on a Brighton forum so much.
I agree the new system is fairer. Paying more and being a 1901 member gets you a better seat and other benefits. If a 1901 member has not been to away games and decides to start in the Premier League but now can't, I have no sympathy.
Yes, when we were going through our real blip of the season and were without a number of players (crucially including Stephens). One game does not decide a season. 46 do and in those 46 games we were 13 points ahead of them.
And to make a prediction like that when we don't know who we are going...
Are you serious? We got 12 points more than them over the course of the season. That suggests we were clearly stronger than them last season. It means nothing come August but suggests we had a stronger starting point.
Mooy I disagree with. Think he was a lot for a player with one year of experience in European football (and that in the second level). The French striker, Mounier, is the only one I actually would really have liked us to sign. Doesn't mean we'll get better, just that I wouldn't have been...
While I am not arguing that we need a new striker, I think that Pascal Groß could be our Sam B replacement. I think what the club will be looking for is a new main striker for Groß to play off.
I would hope we are aiming a bit higher than Huddersfield and that is why we are taking a bit longer but I think Williams on a free transfer is a very decent deal (although I do believe they overpaid for Mooy and Ince). Either way, if they do go down they are equipping themselves well to go back...
Agreed that there's little point in going on about this so I am not going to bother any more after this either. My point is that most teams perform better against bottom half sides. I think I'm right that Huddersfield only got nine points from ten games against the top six (lost twice to...
But my point is that is irrelevant. Burnley had a terrible away record last season yet comfortably survived. Our record at home to top teams was very good, but you are ignoring that as it doesn't suit your argument.
This squad will struggle and probably go down without more signings. However...
So you are saying we were better at home last season than we were away. And you are also saying our record away to the top teams was worse than against lower sides. Hardly a shock
