I'm not so sure
I quite like these stages - watching the break of the day try to get established is always worth a watch and its a bit like Test Match Cricket - you need a bit of down time to set up the next bit of action.
Its a minefield innit.
In the pro peloton though, the 3rd kiss of a podium girl is code for letting the rider know they're up for some 'action' later. George Hincapie ended up marrying one after getting the come-on '3rd kiss'
Hmmm?
Remember, there was a time when David Millar was the new generation of clean riders.
After following cycling since 1987, I always keep an open mind
I think Froome knew that 10secs worth of effort to put a gap between him and Wiggins will be worth £££ in eitehr re-negotiating with Sky or moving elsewhere.
I don't think he'll attack Wiggins again but its was a pretty clear statement of what he could do - i.e beat Wiggins in the Tour...
Yeah - wrapping bar tape - I still can't do it.
Also, if you want your road bike to look 'euro', bar tape should always, always be white. However, lets face it, black tape saves a lot of cleaning...
For geeks interested in the power outputs of the riders this is worth a look:
The Science of Sport
And, this is encouraging
"So, in terms of what that means for Wiggins and co at the front of the stage, it predicts about 6.4 to 6.5 W/kg. Over 16 minutes, that's not at all unreasonable. To...
He might have been hot. There's virtually no air flow those those TT helmets and even less with the visor. Get too hot and performance drops right off.
I remember one of the photographers bemoaning the increase in sunglasses in the 1980's as it hid the riders eyes. Of course, if you're having...
Crikey!
Froome up to 3rd.
Sky will see some changes over the winter - they'll be no room for Wiggins / Cav / Froome in one team. It could still end up quite messy by the end of this race..
