I think those norty Leeds fans finger prints are all over this. Chapeau to them. We've done this many times. Next time the club might be a little more canny about public votes. It's a shame because it would have gone to Biss without doubt based on what we've seen on NSC over the last month (for...
Talking of which. How old was Neil Lenham when he first played for Sussex? I vividly recall his big score (ton was it) v Pakistan back in the day, but not sure that was his debut.
It's so depressing being a SCCC fan. Feels like somehow a great opportunity to establish ourselves as a force has been frittered away. And the only reaction seems to be a shrug. Shows how lucky we are with Tony Bloom et al being so focused.
Article from May 9th with no reference to us setting a price. There was an unsubstatiated post on Twitter which implied the source was The Times but again with no actual quote to an article. Utter nonsense. He may well want out - we've all known that for ages. But we haven't set and price and...
The opportunity to push the ball through to Trossard v Arsenal was a golden opportunity to play the simple ball. He fluffed it really badly. Can't judge a guy on one mispass, but that was a moment when I thought - if we're going to progress, we have to have players that will nail that pass 9...
I think there is something about him and last Summer I was convinced that we should keep him in the squad. 38 games on, I think his confidence is shot. He's perhaps blotted his copybook a bit (though no evidence). I suspect scoring some goals in the Championship would do him a lot of good - and...
If you posted 1/10 for this season, you clearly don't believe it and have just confirmed that you are indeed an attention seeking prick that can't help him/herself.
There's a table in The Times today showing the lost hours to injury by team and I think we were 5th or 6th highest. There is a significant difference across the teams this season, contrary to what Guiness Boy thinks.
He came to collect a cross/corner and went over their player and dropped the ball. Thought he was lucky to get a foul for that. He also saved their tame free kick and spilled the ball briefly. I think he did this a couple of times. Not as neat as he often is - nothing terrible, just seems a bit...
And one more thing - why wasn't the handball given to us? It was a blatant touch where he moved his arm out from his body to guide the ball. No one seems to have mentioned it.
Got the train from Dorsetshire to Birmingham last week for work. Two things struck me:
- just how good public transport can be
- just how many dickheads think the rules don't apply to them. Probably one in four without masks and appearing not to give a damn.
