Totally agree. And we got the wrong midfielder called Davy. Everton have signed Davy Klaassen from Ajax. He cost more than double so surely he must be at least twice as good. It is a lack of ambition like this that will take us down!
Agreed. And simple fact is we've conceded 38 this season and Huddersfield have conceded 50. Not sure how that can be translated to Schindler outperforming Dunk. In the key stat that matters, Duffy and Dunk are well ahead of them
No question that he is an Albion legend for me. So many reasons have already been mentioned such as his goals contributing massively to two promotions and hopefully us staying in the Premier League this season.
Sunday's performance was one of his best for me. I wasn't surprised that he made the...
I agree with much of what's been said on here but my thoughts (based on the current 25 man squad and assuming we stay up) are:
GK - I think it will be the same next season, assuming Krul and Maenpaa are happy to stay
Full back - Bruno will be 38 in September so I'd be surprised if he stays...
Agreed. I always think posts where people moan about signing young players as if they think it means we won't be focusing on the first team are ridiculous. So because we need a couple of first team signings, we shouldn't even consider the future.
Since when did 'never 'eard of 'im' equal 'no opinion to offer' on here? At least make up a source who says he is rubbish or say you saw him on TV once.
Agreed as that never happens normally in football. Teams always stay in the same order. The Huddersfield obsession from some on here is a joke. They have done okay but are dropping like us. Either or both of us could easily go down. I would be surprised if neither of us do
Do you look at people's responses to your posts and ever think about not posting?
You might as well have posted that for Messi and Ronaldo as we were never going to sign them or Giroud. And are you seriously comparing Ings, an injury prone player with one good Premier League season, to Giroud?
Yes, we are all doomed. If only we got some money for going down so we didn't end up in the same situation again, they could call it something like 'Parachute payments' and we could receive it for the next two seasons after relegation. Sadly that won't happen and so it is very serious!
Where do you get lack of resources from? There has never been any suggestion that we couldn't afford a striker. It has always been about getting value (nothing to do with lack of resources).
But what about Goldson's development. Hughton clearly believes that Dunk and Duffy are the best pairing and so Goldson is going to get limited opportunities. Apparently Goldson has asked to go on loan to get regular football so, if we can get a replacement in, of course it makes sense. Otherwise...
Sorry for the confusion. I have no idea about what he has with us although it would not be a surprise if there was a clause (but it would be a lot higher than £3 million I imagine).
