There appear to be a load of new bike racks under the new footbridge at Falmer station (on the south side). I assume these are for matchdays rather than just for general use.
Obviously they are going to continue to spend big ... He looked pretty sharp from what I saw of him. I assume it's only money that would take him to Crawley if L1 clubs were actually in for him.
The Goldstone had masses of free on street parking available in every direction, all within a 15-20 walk. Don't forget it was a time before parking restrictions of any note. I’m guessing (I never got the train to games) Hove Station would have had more frequent services, than Falmer Station will...
Blimey ... The 'last' football special on the Portslade route leaves Portslade station 2 hours & 6 minutes prior to kick off. I know we are going to have to build in extra time for our pre match journeys but I can't see that I'll get that past the Missus!
Interesting ... just googled the Liverpool/Warrior bit that you mentioned as I'd never heard of them (Warrior, that is, not Liverpool!).
A brand that currently only produces Lacrosse and Field Hockey kit? Be interesting to see what they come up with for Liverpool, if indeed the reports are...
Managed 4:33 at Brighton on Sunday. I'm pretty pleased as it's my first marathon. Possibly could have shaved 10-15 mins off if the conditions had been a little different. Basin Road was tough, with little or no shade to be had, it was bleak, hot and bright. People seemed to be dropping like...
Is this right? Can they segregate the away end for home and away fans? Also I thought that the 900 general sale tickets are in the South East corner, in the blocks that can't be sold as ST because of FA cup allocations.
Too slow ... Just seen posts above.
From a senior school perspective South Portslade (which I think is BN41) is in the catchment for Hove Park and Blatch, not PCC. Although I guess this could change in the next few years. Particularly as PCC is going to become an academy.
Anyone doing the Hastings Half tomorrow? I don't know Hastings that well, any tips for race day, particularly from a travel/parking POV.
And as HT says above, a half will seem like a breeze after the last few weeks. Got my Brighton marathon pack today, feeling pretty excited about it. It's...
I think this sums things up perfectly ... The hard work is not necessarily this season but in the seasons to come when the excitement levels have dropped.
You can't watch the playing area whilst alcohol is being served. Was at the Emirates in a box last week and the blinds have to be pulled down, a steward even come round and checked to make sure the blinds were at the required level so we couldn't see the pitch.
Think this is standard for all...
Well done all on yesterdays race.
It was my first half marathon and managed to get in at 1:51:39, which I was really pleased with. I'm doing the Hastings half in a few weeks, which I understand is a bit more of a challenge than Brighton (the first 6 miles are all up hill!).
Good to meet you HT ...
Yesterday was tough, as you say the last couple of miles were a real challenge. Basin Road is certainly not the most inspiring place to run although I guess it is good practice for the big day. If I'd been on my own I would almost certainly have bottled it, being part of...
