I reckon 15-20 mins possibly (from the Coldean Lane/Lewes Rd junction). It's worth having a quick look at Google maps before you do it (the satellite image is old and doesn't actually show the new path/road, or the stadium). Once you go under the Lewes Road at the bottom of Coldean Lane you want...
There is a Pedestrian/Cycleway that runs all the way along the North side of the A27. Also if you use the underpass at the bottom of Coldean Lane and head for the entrance to Falmer School or Aldridge Academy (or whatever it is called) you can walk up the new access road that has been built for...
Surely there's room at the £100M stadium he's just funded for him to throw a bit of a shindig.
Seems a bit harsh to stick him and his Mates in a tent outside!
:-)
There is some discussion on the bike storage areas on this thread:
Cycle storage at Falmer
I'll be heading over from South Portslade, so as someone said above I reckon I'll mix and match my journey between Old Shoreham Rd, New England Rd, Lewes Rd with the Seafront, Old Stiene. I'm reckoning...

'Bikes – there are lots of bike-parking stands, most of them sadly of the “butterfly” type which do not support bikes, do not accept two-inch mountain bike tyres, and allow only wheels to be locked to...

I was having a mooch round up there the other day and noticed that there are a whole bunch of Cycle racks under the new footbridge, on the South side of the railway. I wasn't sure if this was the 'official' stadium bike park but it looked like there was room for a fair few bikes.
According to my iTunes play count my favourite Scottish band is Idlewild. In fact Warnings/Promises is one of my most played albums of the last 5 years ... I had no idea I liked them so much!
Thanks LB ... So the back of the fag packet calculation suggests that you would need to cater for 4,500 people coming from Brighton (that is is 75% of the total number of people who said in the survey they would travel to the ground by train, 6,000.)
At a maximum of 150 people per carriage = 30...
Apologies if it has been answered before on one of the other Amex travel threads but ...
What is the maximum passenger capacity of a single train carriage?
I've just given up on it as well. Timing was impeccable today, Sun during the breaks and rain as they came out.
Might be ok for a refund, depending if there is more play. Yesterdays ticket holders got 50% refund for 24 overs. Think we've seen about the same today ...
Fingers crossed it keeps...
