I agree. I don't necessarily go entirely for the football ... a big part of my reason for going is the social aspect. It's pretty much the only time I'm gaurunteed to see a lot of my mates ... now that we all have young families, jobs, mortgages, wives etc.

Personally I want to sit with a group of mates, having to go through the hassle of buying tickets all together every week is a right ache (one person normally ends up paying and then collecting cash back from the others).
I guess thats the difference ... I'm pretty sure that I'd want to go most games, regardless of league position, opposition, champions league etc.

Yes. Why not ...
Can't be arsed buying individual tickets for each game. Me and five mates have ST's together, if we didn't we'd have to co-ordinate for each match, getting tickets together, what seats, which stand etc.
ST's are the simple option plus the club gets my financial committment up...
