Now we've got these two loan players the squad is far too big and certain players are getting pushed even further down the pecking order.

Time I think to send some players out on loan to reduce the wage bill and get them some competitive football.

Candidates:
Joe Gatting
Doug Loft
Tommy Fraser (maybe)
Gary Hart

Would seem like a sensible move. Surely a League 2 or Conference club could be interested. We could always call them back if necessary.

Hart, why? Because he's not getting anywhere near the first team at present. Not even made the bench yet, has he?

Gatting - yes until december then look at him again

loft - for certain as he seems unlikely to ever get a chance

el abd - please dont rate his skill or attitude

sullivan - tell him he's good enough and keep him or let him go to embarrass us in years to come

fraser - no - let him get another 20 games under his belt over the season then take a look at his prospects

................oh and mayo

surely someone in the conference needs a bit of experience

Of course, let's play a youngster at left back and no cover from anyone else if he gets injured.
:thud:

Send them to worthing, they r in an injury crisis with 12 players injured

& yet sammy gargan is proving a wonder, 4 goals in as many games, is prospect for the future in blue & white

I would tend to agree with Gatting and Loft but can't see the point of sending OGH or Fraser out on loan. OGH, as pointed out, is recovering from an injury and is useful emergency cover for a variety of positions. From what I saw at Crewe, Fraser and Whing played really well together...that relationship would hardly be likely to improve if one half of them were training and playing for someone like Cambridge Utd...mind you at least that would stop referees getting them mixed up.

I would think Bognor and Worthing would be very interested, but on a more serious note there was talk about a link up with Crawley. Conference football is very competive and would be good experience for any young player.

Wasn't it elphick who allegedly made the tackle according to whing?

Or are u refering to the fact that we r now overrun with ginger players...nothing wrong with that of course as most of them are quality players.
