hi everyone i thought i'll let u all know about this

Crawley Town have made their first signing of the summer by beating off stiff competition to land striker John Akinde from Bristol City.

Bournemouth, Wycombe Wanderers, Dagenham & Redbridge and Gillingham were all believed to have been interested in securing the 21-year-old who has agreed a two-year deal at the Broadfield Stadium.

Akinde joined Bristol City for £140,000 from Ebbsfleet in 2008 but only made 16 appearances at Ashton Gate and was sent on loan to Wycombe Wanderers, Brentford, Bristol Rovers and Dagenham and Redbridge where he scored ten goals in 42 league appearances.

Worth posting, as some had suggested after the Daggers home game that we should be looking at him.

Decent signing for Crawley.

Obviously they are going to continue to spend big ... He looked pretty sharp from what I saw of him. I assume it's only money that would take him to Crawley if L1 clubs were actually in for him.

They also announced they have SMASHED the 1000 season ticket sales. For how long will the big spending be sustainable.

7/2 favourites for title.
A bit skinny, but nevertheless I might still be quite tempted at those odds. They already have a side good enough for league one nevermind league two, and they're still strengthening.

Could be a derby for Palace next season, along with Charlton.

I understand there is a lot more to come in as well, signed another defender today as well that played in teh Peterborough team a couple of years back that strolled league 2, I reckon they are a very good shout for the title next year and honestly think will be supported week in week out by about 3500 +

Good signing that for Crawley. Tubbs and Akinde could tear League Two up next season. Might actually throw a few of my hard-earned scheckles on them for the title.
