    Brighton half marathon tomorrow

Lovely day for a run. 1:40:30ish for me. Bit disappointed - wanted to do something close to 1:35 but blew up at 11miles Saw a few Albion tops - some geezer in a Albion training vest passed me at about 12 miles and was going well at that point

The irony is that much of the field in Dubai, Qatar etc are the classics specialists so after a nice bit of sun, they get sent to K-B-K and Het Nieuwsblad at the end of Feb. A nasty shock to the system!

As a yoof in the 90's I was a bit of a full pro kit w*****. I couldn't afford a full pro kit though RMO, Z-Peugeot, Helvitia, Ariostea are the ones I can remember having. It was tricky to get hold of in those days - mail order via a cycling weekly Geoffrey Butler Ad seemed to be the best bet!

Did anyone see BBC Breakfast yesterday? Sheryl Crow was on and, in the middle of a friendly album plug, Bill Turnbull, out-of-the-blue, asked about what she thought of Lance Armstrong's 'recent troubles' Her stunned face was a picture as she was momuntarily rendered mute

We had the 'Leader' delivered at 9pm tonight.

I used to do a round in hollingdean. 116 houses reduced to 115 because of a mental dog. The leaflets bumped the money up a bit but could be annoyingly cumbersome eg the bus timetable. Once, the leaflets were trial Time Out bars. Needless to say none of the 115 got delivered

    Vettel the best ever?

I was massive F1 fan in the 80's to mid 90's. I find it unwatchable now albeit for many reasons that are basic 'improvements' I.e reliability, safety etc These are 'good things' but crikey, I find it dull to watch
