There was a special training event today at Withdean. The whole first team squad (which is about 30+ players) trained before invited school groups (of disabled kids) and the Seagulls Specials. It was a good day, Gully and his bird turned up along with a few Gully's Girls.
My observations on the...
If we hadn't had loan players this season I don't think we would have been down by Christmas. Infact we might have got to have a reasonably settled side. At least we would have made the best of what we have.
We've had so many loan players this season because Adams bought badly in the close season. Not one single player that he signed last summer has a had much of a positive impact on the team.
The club has been grossly mis managed this year. As has already been said all that was required was maybe half a dozen quality players including a left back, a ball playing forward moving midfielder capable of scoring goals and a decent back up striker. What on earth has it cost to sign 24...
On my way to the Northampton game, I'd not had time for my tea so I had a Tescos salad in a carrier bag.
A nice lady steward asked if she could see inside my bag. 'It's only a salad' I said.
'What type of salad is it?' She asked
'Prawn' I said 'it's not a dangerous salad or anything'.
'Is it...
If you're not an Albion fan why do find the need to come on an Albion based message board and insult those that are fans and will loyally continue to support their team through good and bad.
Is there not a message board for whatever does turn you on that you could post on.
Today was not a good...
I thought DW was very unlucky this afternoon. To lose Kuipers and Forster for this game was bad enough but then to lose Elphick was even worse. If there is a criticism then perhaps he shouldn't have sent Hinshlewood on if he was injured.
I don't blame him for sending Carole on so early. He...
Birchall - I think he is overated because of the T&T international thing. Without that he would be recognised as the very ordinary player that he is. No better than what we already have.
Jarrett - runs around a lot but doesn't actually produce much. He's not the midfield player we are so...
I'm not sure Virgo won anything in the air. He's not a centre forward but I can understand the team selection. Thought he should have come off when Davies came on because he is not a midfielder either. He seems untouchable in that a place must always be found for him in the team.
I keep reading on here that the club has fallen apart on the coaching side since Wilkins and Chapman left. That Adams, White and Booker are a bunch of inept clowns.
Is there any real proof of this? Do we know who holds what coaching badges?
According to some on here Wilkins wasn't even...
Couldn't get to work today. All the kids are out in the garden playing in the snow, 'Come and play' they said. Sod that it's too cold.
I might commandeer their snowman and stick an Albion scarf on it though.
Let's hope we do what we did at the end of MA's first season - go on a long unbeaten run and win the league next year.
At the moment however, there is no humble pie to be eaten.
Firstly how come we ended up with a summeriser who had absolutely no connection to the Albion. Surely there must have been an ex player or somebody that could have done the job. Paul Samarah has done the job in the past I think.
The bloke that did it, I think he was an ex Luton striker...
