Yes, it's difficult to tell just from the radio, but sounded like Birchall was busy and 90mins for Jarrett is 3 times as much football as he has had all season. It won't do him any harm.
I know it means 4-5-1 at home but there must be an argument for keeping the same team for Saturday. Not sure we've played the same team in consecutive games this season.
If Murray or Virgo are fit there's probably an argument to playing one of them up front and leaving out either El-Abd or...
The first Albion match I ever saw was against Aston Villa in 1973. I remember watching it on MOTD later that night. Also am I right in thinking that Peter Ward's debut goal was on MOTD. Both clips must be out there somewhere.
I think he already has an eye on the job. His endorcement of Micky Adams is a bit like a politician who says what a good job his leader is doing, when really he thinks he could do much better, but has to be loyal to be seen at a trustworthy bloke.
It was a poor performance, and there is no way you can dress it up as anything but that. We should be taking a lead with us up to Kenilworth Road.
However it's not a disaster. If this was a one leg tie, we'd fancy our chances had we been drawn away at Luton. We beat them up there last season...
Fleetwood looks an OK sort of player. Has a fair bit of pace, chases about a lot, scores a few goals but not prolific at this standard.
Sounds very much like Robinson. Is he any better than Robinson? If not it's another waste of wages.
I have family in Wolverhampton so had planned a weekend away, but have had bad vibes about this all week so finally called it off yesterday.
A mate of mine lives in Littlehampton and is a Donny Rovers fan. Just texted me to say Donny game is off. He's sat in Doncaster market.
Sullivan will be in goal. The defence will be Whing, Elphick, Hinshlewood and Richards. Forster will be up front and Virgo will be there somewhere. Other than that it's anybody's guess. I think we have not played the same team two matches running for 25 games or so.
I went yesterday, to get out of the house and as the Albion didn't have a game I thought it would be the chance to see a reasonable match between two local sides. Don't love or hate Lewes, Eastbourne or their football teams.
I enjoyed the experience. The big stand is better than anything we...
We only just sold out for Man City so I can't see us doing it for Luton, particularly as going to the Luton match will have absolutely no bearing on whether you get a ticket for Wembley. Our average home fan base is approx 5,500 and we would be offered about 40K tickets if we get to Wembley.
I...
I've got nothing better to do and it will get me out of the house away from loads of kids. Hadn't really given it a thought that as a neutral we will have to choose an end.
The problem is that he doesn't seem to have the ability to get the best out of players, find their correct postion and find a settled team.
There's a good few of the players above who he has definitely not got the best out of. Lynch and Thompson who don't even want to play for us. Virgo who...
It was a poor result against a not very good team.
Sullivan - 6 - Thought his handling was pretty much spot on. Don't think either of the goals were particularly his fault, but his kicking was nothing special.
Whing - 6 - I thought he was OK particularly in the first half.
Hinshlewood - 4 -...
Up until now I wanted to watch just three programs. Gavin And Stacy which I thought was excellent, not rolling around on the floor funny but just real feel good TV. Funniest bit was Gavin's mum and dad in bed role playing Charles and Camilla.
Enjoyed Dr Who. Quite clever how they explained...
I went to the Millennium Stadium to see the Donny game and it was the best part of thirty quid a ticket. Multiply that by 60,000 and you have £1.8m to be shared out. Plus TV money, plus prize money, plus all the shirts you sell, plus DVDs and so on and you won't be far off £1m.
My mate is a Donny Rovers fan and when they won it two years ago they reckoned it was worth £1m to them with prize money, gate receipts, TV coverage and all the other promo add ons. So pretty important as well as a good day out.
