but not so much Glenn Murray

Murray's problem is that, for all his skills, he has an inherent serious lack of pace (it's not laziness) which means he has no choice but to play on the border of offside all the time.

Admittedly, he needs more practice to get it right more often than not.

I don't like the way he abuses officials. Hardly a good example.

I also don't like the way he dives so obviously.

And I especially don't like the way he moans at other players.

A good player no doubt, but not someone I would have as captain.

Nicky Forster will make a great manager one day. I think he demonstrates natural leadership qualities and is eloquent with it. Perhaps he will manage the Albion?

I think he already has an eye on the job. His endorcement of Micky Adams is a bit like a politician who says what a good job his leader is doing, when really he thinks he could do much better, but has to be loyal to be seen at a trustworthy bloke.

A great player and with an IQ above the average football player - and a good captain I'd say. I half expected him to be crocked half the time but his fitness seems pretty good so far. Top signing.

Interestingly there have been a few articles in the papers over the last few days with Gary Linekar saying why forwards rarely make good managers.

His basic argument is they are all selfish by nature.

Just because someone is an intelligent player (like Forster) does not mean he would make a brilliant manager.

It does baffle me how people on here can just decide some players will be good managers, some good coaches etc having never seen them off the pitch.
