No you can only have a short term loan player for a maximum of 93 days I think. He's already been with us for 2 months so we only have him for a month then he's gone.
I don't mind about us losing out on Currie if we bring in someone else instead. I would still rather see us sign a striker than a midfielder anyway. But we don't seem to sign anyone permanently and with just 3 good strikers on our books that aren't injured, if one gets injured or suspended we...
I hope this Currie rumour is true but there have been a lot of disappointing transfer window deadlines for us in the past year or so. He would add a bit of experience to our side and he has a good few years left in him.
As for Bowditch, i'm sure Ipswich would be tempted in letting him come here...
Attendance wasn't helped by the 150 or so Vale fans which I thought was a poor turnout for them. But we aren't much better, 5,000 home fans isn't good enough from us really but I can see why some fans are staying away.
Doug Loft has been our best signing in the past few years. Fact. :clap2: :jester:
Back to the original post, I don't think we could realistically sign two better players than Currie and Forster. But the rumour is just hear say and even if it isn't, they probably wouldn't want to come to us.
I always used to buy Justin Georcelin from Northampton as he looked a quality striker for the future. I also once signed a Danish player called Carsten Olsen if I was managing a lower league club as he was quality on my game!
I agree maybe we shouldn't spend out on players transfer fees (not like we ever have done that often anyway), but hopefully we could get a few guys in for small fees / free transfers just to boost the size and quality of the squad.
