    Instead of Alastair Cook ?

Bell now is definitely a different player to the one from even 2 years ago. He has always had bags of talent but in the last year or so it seems that he has matured and got a new found confidence. Its really the mental side that he lacks as in terms of technique he has far more going for him...

Sussex v Derbyshire, LVCC, 18-21 August, Horsham festival

And Middlesex have beaten Glamorgan, well done them !! A good win here and we have a nice little gap at the top of the table.

Sussex v Derbyshire, LVCC, 18-21 August, Horsham festival

Looks like the Glamorgan v Middlesex game will be a result but hopefully Glamorgan won't set Middlesex any more than 200 to win in the 2nd innings. We will need to win this game as I back Glamorgan to beat Middlesex and claim a high points tally despite missing out on the batting points.

Get me to the church on time !

I had the same issue, and I refused to pay £300 for a 1 mile journey twice. One goodd tip someone gave me was to speak to a classic car club locally and see if any of them do it. Often as they are enthusiasts they don't want an arm and a leg and like showing their car off.

    Sparrow: Offside or onside?

And clearly not a red card for the keeper either (heard some fan on 606 saying he should have been sent off). There was at least 1 defender covering.

what was going on at The Oval last night??

Boundaires weren't too short last night. Flat track with decent bounce and pretty average bowling.

    Stumpy The Elephant

If, as suggested in that article, they start calling the 50 over game 50-50, that will annoy me. No idea why, but it will. Test cricket will soon become Two innings-Two innings cricket, maybe not as catchy but will appeal to the purists.

    Sri Lanka v India

Well, if they amass 600+ runs then I can see India collapsing. However, no Murali so not sure SL will have the firepower. Sub continent pitches are doing their best to try and kill test cricket.

Australia 88 all out v Pakistan

Watson does have the most ridiculous Aussie hair.

Australia 88 all out v Pakistan

Watson just dropped a catch at 1st slip. Should be a great couple of hours cricket.

**Middlesex v Sussex at Uxbridge July 21-24**

I would have thought they will have to bat the rest of the day and maybe an hour tomorrow, setting them 325-350 to win in around 90 overs, dangle the carrot a touch and then spin them out.

**Middlesex v Sussex at Uxbridge July 21-24**

On another note, Australia all out for 349 after a great cameo from Steve "I wannabe like Shane Warne" Smith meaning Pakistan need 180 to win. Surely the Aussies aren't going to escape this one are they? Pakistan will either win by 8 wickets or lose I reckon !!

    Monty Panesar

Are you sure its the same one? He only scored 2 with the bat, surely can't be the same one...... This is actually a very good idea, something the likes of Australia and New Zealand do all the time. Keep these players involved at club level, what a great thing for kids etc to play against. Why...

    McCullum replaces Dilshan for T20

Because the money is in getting there, not necessarily winning it.

    McCullum replaces Dilshan for T20

On nice flat tracks at hove he could be great. A tiny bit inconsistent for me but thats what you get which such an explosive player. Is he at the IPL yet? Be interesting to see how he goes in the 2nd half of the IPL.
