I was watching a bit of that earlier, it was incredible. That 18-year-old left-armer (Mohammad Amir?) is something special, the new Wasim Akram I reckon.

Australia 88

Pakistan 125/1 (31.2 ov)

Australia won the toss and elected to bat

Day 1 - Session 3
MCC Spirit of Cricket Test Series - 2nd Test
Test no. 1965 | 2010 season
Played at Headingley, Leeds (neutral venue)
21,22,23,24,25 July 2010 (5-day match)

Australia 1st innings R B 4s 6s SR
SR Watson lbw b Mohammad Asif 5 19 1 0 26.31
7.2 80.5 mph, gone! Another falls. Game on. Asif gets his line and length right, full on off stump with a hint of shape back in, Watson misses his drive and is caught right in front. Ian Gould quickly raises the finger, but Watson isn't happy and takes a while to leave 20/2

SM Katich lbw b Mohammad Aamer 13 21 2 0 61.90
6.1 87.6 mph, gone! A breakthrough for Pakistan and Katich plays for shuffling across the crease as he's caught on off stump with the ball angling towards middle and leg. A strength can often be a weakness and he'll always been danger if he misses the ball - he should have gone like that early at Lord's. Rudi raises his slow finger to send him on the way 20/1

RT Ponting* lbw b Mohammad Asif 6 21 0 0 28.57
13.5 80.0 mph, gone! Again Ponting thrusts the left leg forward and swishes across the pad at a ball nipping back in to him. He's struck infront of middle and leg, huge appeal from bowler and fielders and that's out! A remarkable exhibition of the control of seam and swing from Asif, and Australia are in all sorts of trouble now 29/4

MJ Clarke b Umar Gul 3 20 0 0 15.00
12.3 85.4 mph, gone! Australia all over the shop as Clarke is cleaned up. Was the perfect full length and he drove all around it having played two wild shots previously. Gul has pitched the ball up and got rewards 27/3

MEK Hussey lbw b Umar Gul 5 13 1 0 38.46
16.5 80.3 mph, Hussey goes! Gul strikes! He fired the ball full and straight, snaking it back into the batsman to strike him on the pad. Rudi's slow finger of death begins to rise, and Hussey's got to go. He's unlucky there, replays suggest the ball may have missed leg stump. But look at this, Australia are 41 for 5! 41/5

MJ North c †Kamran Akmal b Umar Amin 16 33 2 0 48.48
22.5 72.4 mph, Amin strikes! North falls! Kamran holds a catch! Amin picks up his first Test wicket as he lands one on a length around off stump. North could have left that, but he pushed forward in defence and had to reach for the ball. A healthy edge, and Kamran takes a good catch diving to his left. North is utterly disconsolate as he trudges off. Kamran and Amin are over the moon! 60/6

TD Paine† c †Kamran Akmal b Mohammad Asif 17 47 2 0 36.17
33.1 78.4 mph, and that, as they say, is that! A regulation outswinger, a loose leaning waft of a cut, a thin snick, and Kamran Akmal wraps up an outstanding effort from Pakistan by claiming the decisive catch 88/10

SPD Smith b Mohammad Aamer 10 8 2 0 125.00
25.1 83.7 mph, Done him first ball! That's a beauty from Aamer, snaking back through bat and ball to smash into middle stump! Smith was angling through midwicket but the ball simply wasn't there 73/7

MG Johnson b Mohammad Aamer 0 1 0 0 0.00
25.2 83.3 mph, Oh. My. Goodness. What a beauty from Aamer, that was unplayable, full on middle and off and it shaped away and took off stump. Aamer is on a hat-trick! 73/8

BW Hilfenhaus run out (Umar Amin/†Kamran Akmal) 3 16 0 0 18.75
32.4 Umar Gul to Paine, another one bites the dust, and what a way to go! Paine chopped down to third man, and sized up a tight third run, but a sliding stop and a fine flat throw came in from Umar Amin in the deep, and though Kamran Akmal had to gather high to remove the bails, he did so with Hilfenhaus's bat still short of the crease! 86/9

Total (all out; 33.1 overs) 88 (2.65 runs per over)

Pakistan are capable of staggering brilliance and spectacular ineptitude in the same game, so who knows what will happen now.

Indeed.

If they were chasing 200 all of my money would be on Pakistan crapping themselves and losing, now it's too tight to call.

The big question is which juorneyman bowler will rip through the Pakistani's this time. I reckon Katich

No doubt, Pakistan will have been "bought off" by a dodgy bookmaker last night, continuing their incredible run of coincidentally time and time again throwing away really really easy winning positions to lose games. Not that I am suggesting they would dabble in that sort of thing of course.

Maybe not, this time.

48/1 from 10 overs...

I would question your use of the word "shit". In fact, while we are on the theme I would suggest you are talking out of your arse. What a stupid comment.

couldn't care less if the Australians are good at cricket or not, although they seem to be getting hammered by Pakistan and have lost the ashes. But the most important point is that they are shit at the global game of football, and that they are only world champions at er aussie rules., oh no sorry, maybe rugby league..? (played in australia and a few northern small towns like Widness). Sort of sums up Australian sport really - a high opinion of themselves but actually, globally, they are no importance at all. Let them comeback when they have won the world cup. Until then, jog on.

You dumb arse.

What was the score the last time England played Australia in "the global game"?

Let me remind you it was 3-1 and it wasn't to your advantage

Your sporting knowledge seems to amount to the sum of a thimble full of gnat shit.

To be fair, on current statistics, Australia are only marginally more "shit" at football than we are, seeing as how they exited the World Cup finals a mere one round prior to England, and after getting a similar hammering from the Germans.
