If, as suggested in that article, they start calling the 50 over game 50-50, that will annoy me. No idea why, but it will. Test cricket will soon become Two innings-Two innings cricket, maybe not as catchy but will appeal to the purists.

ICC had said the mascot is someone who is young and enthusiastic, and determined individual.

He is someone who thinks cricket is the most fun game in the world and loves playing street cricket. He worships his cricket heroes, their technique, skill and character and dreams of playing in the ICC Cricket World Cup one day.

The first match of the 50-50 World Cup will be played in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 19 next year and the final is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on April 2.

I see they have learned their lesson in the length of the tournament. Let's hope they learn their lesson on the ticket pricing and distribution front.
