This must be the most quioted 'Quote' ever on NSC!
Anyway....you won't be sitting together if you are in my seat. Guaranteed!
I am going with 3 others as well and we will arrive when we want to and WILL sit in our allocated seats (you can try stopping us if you wish but we are big enough to...
Looks like it could be Keith Dublin. The following link shows a young KD in his Chelsea days. Same haircut.. same huge thighs!

It's definitely Steve Penney next to him. Surprised they have a photo of Penney...
Looks very much like Garry Nelson(99% certain it is) and the black bloke looks like Mike Small.
It all fits in with the play-off season in 1991 which is roughly the year the article is talking about.
Go to Lewes Road and pay for it. Then pick it up from the retail park. It's a steal (almost literally!).
I had to do that once and my conscience was free.
When finished, got to all the other shops there and ask them to demo something. Then walk away without buying anything!
In our first season in Div 1 we played a game against Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish was awesome. In our time we have had players that have worked hard for 90 minutes but I have never seen a player cover so much ground. We lost 4-1 and were never in the game.
Manfredd Mann's Earthband were supported by Racing Cars (They Shoot Horses Don't They). I thought R.C.'s were superb and wondered how Manfredd would be able to better them......
but, boy, did they better them! They were awesome and I wasn't a particular fan. Just went along because they were big...
and what about his long range shot from the free kick. He saw the keeper out of position and quickly had a go before the keeper realised what was going on. I thought it was going in but it cleared the crossbar by a bit. Great thinking.
Definitely Bedson in charge. Was at a do for Lottery Agents when it was announced by by Bedson's right hand man John(?) Campbell that Mullery was the new manager.
Bedson's era was really the start of the downfall of the club.
None of his directors had any real money. Not like Keith Wickenden...
Have you tried the cop shop? Believe it or not there are still some decent people out there and someone may have handed it in.
The chances are they won't but you never know.
Getting soaked on the North West Terrace! Really p'd off as had been a North Stand regular for about 20 years (missed about 4 games in that time). Too late applying for North Stand tickets as I was away on the day they announced the arrangements and didn't know when they were going on sale...
Got a piece of the St. James' Park turf on the day we were promoted to Div 1 in 1979. By the time I got it home it was just a lump of mud so I threw it onto my parents garden borders. Come to think of it, the pitch was just a lump of mud anyway! But, hey, did we care?
Didn't it rain heavilly that night? Hope it did anyway as I too was stuck on the second train! I hate Kettering now. Didn't our supporters come up with the 'We're proud of you' song that night? That became a big football chant for several years.
...Brian Bromley's goal in 1971 at home to Rochdale(?). Collected the ball in his own penalty area and ran the full length of a sticky pitch before shooting from outside of the penalty area - classic
Butters 6? What game were you watching?
He was out of position for the second goal, forgot to jump for the third when he should have been challenging their big bloke up front.
For the fourth goal he should have made a challenge before the ball was knocked out to their left.
The fifth goal...
Beauchamp went from Oxford to West Ham then back to Oxford. It was not made very clear what had gone wrong but I believe that he did ok at West Ham but did not like London and asked for a transfer back. Didn't realise he had turned us down though. He would have been a great signing at the time.
What about our right(?) back, John Templeman. Came from Yapton. He was the player who made the amazing run for Willie Invine to score the 71/72 goal of the season. The goal is on TGC's great website.
