January Sales Massive Dilemma

I want to buy a new samsung hdtv, the one i want is £800 most places, but there is one place that does it for £700 and it comes with free freeview box
the problem is, its comet. the lewes road shop doesnt have them in stock, so they said they have the at the goldstone retail park

i really want it, but i cannot bring myself to go there

is it really worth the extra £100 and no freeview box?

i cant do it, i cannot go there

Personally, in 2007 (nearly), I'd only consider a TV with built-in Freeview.

I went to Comet yesterday at the Goldstone.

Got myself a £1000 Phillips telly,all singing,all dancing with BUILT IN Freeview for just....£600.

I even enjoyed going there as it brought back many good Goldstone memories.

Go to the retail park NOW. Spend the £100 you saved in the club shop. Conscience salved. Everyone's a winner.

Good idea. Though I went there once and had a really strange feeling like I was going to pass out. Had to leave in the end.

Nope wasn't that. Was weird because as soon I stepped out the feeling went away. I wont ever go back there again.

Check the model - the "N" series has integrated Freeview and hugely better contrast - if it's not it may be an obsolete model.

yeah, i used to think like that, but come on, it was 10 years ago, i like the feeling of going along the old shoreham road, brings back some great memories.

Problem solved.

Although to be honest I don't buy into all this Goldstone retail park stuff. I never shopped at Focus or Wickes under Archer's ownership and I will always resent the Goldstone retail park being there but the stores that are there didn't bulldoze our home, they just bought the land after it had already been STOLEN from us.

Go to Lewes Road and pay for it. Then pick it up from the retail park. It's a steal (almost literally!).

I had to do that once and my conscience was free.

When finished, got to all the other shops there and ask them to demo something. Then walk away without buying anything!
