Farts still stink on planes, it's just that at altitude our sense of smell (and taste) is somewhat dulled.
I saw a program on TV about airline food - they have to make sure is very strong and tasty to compensate.
Haven't for years. Most plugs these days are sealed so you couldn't change it even if you wanted to. Unless, of course, you cut the original one off and replace it with an old school plug.
I don't have a problem with the police.
I do have a problem with striking though, regardless of which profession it is. Striking proves nothing and only serves to cause maximum disruption to people who are not in a position to do anything about it.
My view is very simple. If you don't think...
My new V+ box does have 80 hours recording time, which is approx double what Sky+ box has, but I would struggle to find enough worthwhile broadcasting on the planet to fill it.
It may be a fault with my equipment, but I find the V+ box is also very noisy (well, the fan inside).
Sky+ is about a billion times better than V+ in my opinion.
I have both, and the Cable boxes have always been very slow to respond to the remote control. The only thing that Cable does better is the on demand stuff.
I catch 20 minutes of the Moyles show each morning. Although I initially found the show funny, I can't believe that several years down the line they're churning out the same old material every day.
Tedious link? You're not kidding!
My wife grinds her teeth too - blooming annoying.
She initially had one of those hidiously expensive night guard thingummys which eventually wore out. She replaced it with a boxing mouth guard which is equally as effective, and cost less than a fiver.
It's a nice idea, as long as you never expect to make any money from it.
People I've known before that have had a share in a greyhound say you're lucky if you make back the training/kennel fees. The only real benefit is mixing with people 'in the know' and picking up some tips.
I do pity new/young drivers these days.
When I was 18 (some 17 years ago  ) I was driving a 1.8i Orion, which was bloomin quick for it's time. Still only paid about £300 insurance.
Even if you took into account inflation, that would only be about £500 in todays money. It's little wonder...
