To be fair, Potter wasn’t a ‘safe’ or non-attacking manager. Our xG numbers were frequently outrageous but not matched by actual goals as he had the combined firepower of Neal Maupay, Aaron Connolly and Ali J responsible for converting.
I didn’t have the volume up so much as I was chatting with my kids whilst the game was on but I did notice during the substitutions that the on-screen graphic read Player Out and Player In
That pretty much told me all I needed to know about the extent to which C4 ‘get’ football…
As I understand it, Barber and Bloom remain on cordial terms with Potter. I believe Bloom is very emotional about the “90 mins + time added on” bit of football - but the rest is business. I doubt he took it personally.
Oh yes. Fully agree. But being ineffective in attack doesn’t mean Dunk didn’t make an awful error that led to the only goal in the game.
The cold hard fact is Dunk f***ed up for that goal and Brighton fans trying to rewrite the narrative to suggest either he didn’t - or should be starting...
Yes, agree. Quite happy watching on my sofa.
However, had I traipsed to north west London and spent £60/70 on a ticket I’d probably be feeling less charitable.
