Ulloa first, club will want the bad news out of the way first. But we will all be cheered when Wilbraham is signed as the replacement and then Jones is announced as new manager.
I can, unfortunately, remember the train wreck that was Hinslewood. Appointing Jones would end in similar disaster I feel and just cant see TB going down this route. Or at least that what I truly hope.
Bloom wants the club to play a passing game and the club is set up that way from junior teams upwards. Employing Warnock would mean changing that and would negate all the training and player scouting that has and will take place. For that reason Warnock will never happen.
If Clement is also favourite for WBA and guessing premiership maybe his choice I have to say that is a very disappointing list. Mowbray sacked by last two teams, Hughton with a reputation for negative football and two hot heads in Lennon and Sherwood. And then there is Appleton! I hope TB has...
personally feel that most people would opt for the premiership club if on offer. I hope we have not be hanging around waiting for Clement only for him to turn us down.
7m is a good bid, but be honest. Who has any confidence in Burke to find the adequate replacements which will be needed, not if January is anything to go by. We would be left with CMS and would need 2 strikers, finding one has seemed to be hard enough.
Chicksen may turn out to be a real find, but having lost Upson and PIG I am not sure I would be all that happy going with a back four including Dunk, Chicksen and possible Ankergran and hope to achieve a decent finish.
Not quite what I meant but Burke appears to be key in the organisation as far as Bloom is concerned and clearly not likely to go anywhere soon, so I would guess the need for manager and Burke to work well together is an important consideration for the club
Hope you are correct on the last bit. If the new manager does not come in until mid June we will have a couple of weeks before pre season and I would say we need to have made in roads into the needed players by then. Not crucial to have all required on board but certainly enough to give the new...
Indeed. Burke and his team can do all the work they want but surely a player will want to speak to the manager/head coach to see how they plan to play and where said player will fit into those plans. If you have choices I am not sure you will sign for a club with no manager. Mid June may be okay...
If as we are lead to believe the manager has the final say in all signings than surely he needs to be on board soon since we have a large rebuilding job on our hands with 8 players needed. Not sure I would be happy with holding off until mid june
Interesting that the last part of the article mentions that Burke and Clement know each other, I would think this would be considered important as far as Bloom is concerned.
